California has begun early voting already as well as mail-in balloting. The number of people who have gone in to vote in person has been extensive. The results so far prove what we had always suspected. The polls are being proven as totally unreliable. Although the results of early balloting have not been disclosed,of course, how many Republicans and how many Democrats have voted has been revealed.

The results are simply shocking. The polls showed Barack Obama with an 18 point lead in California just a few days ago. The results thus far are the complete opposite. In the most liberal state in the entire country, the results are that 99,000 Republicans have voted and 96,000 Democrats voted. In the mail-in balloting the results so far are that 9,000 Democrats sent in their ballots and that 5,000 Republicans did so. So with nearly 210,000 people having voted, the Democrats have only a 1,000 vote advantage !

If we take the liberty of assuming that all Republicans will vote for John McCain and all Democrats will vote for Obama, then the race is incredibly close. I'm sure that Obama will eventually win in California, but if he is struggling here after he pushed so hard for early voting, then he will lose the election ! Everybody thought he would win California in a landslide, but so far anyway,it's very tight. That means that in the less liberal states he is in real trouble.

Ignore the pundits. Forget the polls. Get out there and vote for John McCain. The results in California show the wisdom of Yogi Berra who said, "It's not over until it's over."

In the past most mail-in ballots lean Republican. I hope you are correct. Everyone I know is or has voted for McCain, but I'm in a conservative area, unfortunately most of this state is liberal.

Daily my hubby says that the liberal people at his work are turning the corner away from Obama. When I give him articles on the Dems looking at taking away the 401(k) tax credit, and the $420 per $100,000 new mortgage that every one will pay from here on out they go ballistic. Especially when they find that the $420 goes to ACORN. I think Obama will win in CA but I bet the numbers won't be what they thought. I could be wrong. When you start just quietly giving these young people FACTS they are just so angry that the wool has been pulled over their eyes. They use to think my hubby was crazy. Then he goes in with articles I give him printed out and they see it for themselves. They know they have been lied to and they know they are being taken. They are all Internet freaks and talk on myspace and all over. Wouldn't it be something to see CA turn the other way?

My son is voting for the first time, he believed in Obama. As we talked I gave him my point of view but I did teach him not to follow blindly [he was supposed to value my opinion] Yesterday he told me that he realized that Obama is a deceiver.

He decided to vote for McCain because he thinks his future will be more secure with him.

McCain is not my first choice but Obama scares me with the 2nd amendment, taxes and unfairness doctrine. We are in the fight of our lives if Obama gets elected.

I would imagine a large portion of the mail-in ballots are from the military. It's a well established fact that the majority of military members lean conservative. Republican administrations have typically treated the military with more respect. This respect is shown through larger pay raises and increased benefits. During my 20 years of military service, my largest pay raise came from President Reagan.

Furthermore, Republican administrations normally build the military up and spend more money on strengthening capabilities, while Democrats reduce military size and capabilities in order to reduce military spending.

Now there's the new information that the L.A. Times is holding a video of Obama and a radical hater of Israel that they won't release. Gee I wonder why? They are journalists any more they are in the tank for this guy and every radical left wing person they can get in office. CA has several on the ballot. They are scary and the people are just uninformed. That's what they are counting on. Now the ABC news show is under attack by Obama's camp and I hear that one in PA is too. Finally some of the msm are wondering about this guy. Maybe they are getting scared too about their first amendment rights being undermined under this guy. Not to mention the Ohio administrator that gave the maximum amount to Obama's campaign and gave the go ahead to investigate Joe the Plumber on their government computers. ???????????????????

Start praying folks this guy is dangerous. Not just undesirable.

Other than absentee voting, can anyone explain to me the reason why people in some states are allowed to go to the polls this early? Thanks.
