MOFFIT: All American school kids MUST dress like peasants to avoid wealth shaming and
If you thought jeans with holes in the knees and flip flop sandals were just a trend for looking hipster, think again. It’s time for all Americans to shop at Goodwill, Salvation Army, and other thrift stores for school clothes, because this status bragging, wealth shaming, capitalistic fashion wave must end, and it must end right now. Every year over 1,000 kids are killed over fancy, expensive shoes, including a $200 pair of “Air Jordan’s.” The expensive sneaker frenzy was only the beginning, and things have escalated to much worse “treatment” in America these days. Change is coming, and it’s coming fast.
Wealth shaming is pathetic, apathetic, and it’s causing kids to fail in school, drop out, and even commit suicide, and these rich “upper class” jerks have no sympathy. It’s time for our government to step up and step in – to write some laws to stop the upper-class from flaunting their money – money that’s about to be redistributed to the less fortunate. Dress like you’re less fortunate, because we’re all really about to be, as members of ONE CLASS in America, with free income, free food, free college, free school uniforms, and free healthcare
Capitalism has reigned for far too long, and it’s making millennials and less-fortunate liberals feel ashamed of themselves, unable to concentrate in school or even compete for attention on social media. Back in the Middle Ages, peasants and laborers didn’t insult each other by wearing Prada, Gucci, Chanel, Versace, Armani, Hermes, Dior, or Dolce and Gabbana; instead they wore clothes that were hand sewn by a neighborhood seamstress or they made their clothes themselves. Others bought their outfits from drapers or peddlers at street markets.
The “working class” typically had two or three sets of clothes (usually tunics) in their wardrobe, and if they got ripped or torn, you just patched and mended them, and they lasted for years. Hand-me-downs from parents or older siblings were popular too. Even the royal personage didn’t own near what these rich, capitalistic, materialistic kids own today.
Soon, America will be a fair and peaceful place to live, where everyone appreciates the basics and nobody has the ability to wealth-shame anymore. The United Socialist States of America will reinvigorate self-respect and self-esteem, and make us all more patriotic and focused on all-important common core initiatives in school.
United Kingdom already on board, eliminating wealth shaming by banning expensive “Goose” and “Monclair” coats
The expensive clothes prohibition has begun! Woodchurch High School in the U.K. has reacted to parents who demanded prohibition of $1,000 jackets that kids were wearing to purposely upset the poor children and rub it in their faces that they can’t afford them, or anything even close.
It’s upsetting to parents too when their kids put pressure on them to waste money on social status outerwear. Wealth shaming is even happening when students bring in designer rucksacks, book bags, and backpacks.
There is absolutely no reason to wear animal fur either, so we can save animals’ lives while saving poor children from shame-induced suicide too. Any kids posting pictures of themselves on social media wearing expensive clothing should be reported and they should have to serve community cleanup hours or face time in juvenile detention centers, until they understand and appreciate cheap, homemade clothes. All brand names should be banned. They cause mass depression. No more insignia or capitalistic logos on clothing at all. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are all expected to climb aboard the brand-banning bandwagon.
We must all stand up for equal clothing rights, and ban Nike, Adidas, Jordan, Converse, Reebok, Vans, Under Armour, Ralph Lauren, Gap, Levi Strauss, Coach, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, and even Old Navy too. It’s all a wealth-shaming waste of money that’s wrecking our children’s health, focus, and patriotism in America. The rich bullies need to learn a hard knocks lesson that you are not what you own.
Soon, the American Government will be buying back all “high end” clothing at wholesale pricing to pay for free healthcare and free college for everyone (and maybe even national uniforms fashioned like tunics). Change your clothes and change your thoughts – one nation, one gender, with liberty and social justice for all.
