NAFTA Institute set for June

The 2008 NAFTA Institute will take place June 26 and 27 at the Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino in Sunland Park, N.M.

The conference is designed for business people who want to sell products to the North American market, import products from Mexico and/or become a supplier to Mexico's maquiladora industry.

Organizers will match participants in private business-to-business sessions. Sessions are scheduled on the North American Free Trade Agreement, border security, intellectual property, marketing, financing business operations and cross-border cultural issues.

The event is being co-hosted by the New Mexico Economic Development Department's Office of Mexican Affairs, the city of Juarez, Mexico, the Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance, the New Mexico Small Business Development Network, Western New Mexico University, and the International Business Accelerator.
