Enfield man having survived for nearly a century left fighting for his life after being attacked and robbed. The 98-year-old man was attacked and robbed in his own home in Enfield, London.
Met Police are asking members of the public for information after Peter Gouldstone was found semi-conscious by his son at his home. Paramedics phoned the police and the elderly man was taken to an east London hospital.
Simon Gouldstone said about his father: “My Dad is housebound and requires regular assistance.
“He has lived at his address for over 60 years. I was the first person that found him on Tuesday. He was in his bedroom on the floor. I noticed that he was agitated and was semi-conscious. He could not communicate.”
“This was a brutal and senseless attack on a vulnerable pensioner in his own home. The level of violence used was completely excessive”, Detective Inspector Paul Ridley said of this violent attack in the capital.
