    New Arizona program hopes to boost U.S. exports into Mexico

    The U.S. Department of Commerce on Tuesday announced the launch of its new Border Trade Initiative, an effort to increase U.S. exports into Mexico's maquiladora manufacturing sector.
    The program is in response to both the growth of Mexico's industrial market — now the largest in Latin America — and the decline of U.S.-made supplies to Mexican manufacturers in comparison to Asian exports over the last seven years: from 90 percent to 47 percent, according to Eric Nielsen, director of the commerce department's Arizona U.S. Export Assistance Center.

    The only export I care to see a "boost" in would be illegals on their way back to Mexico!
