We'll be warmer than Florida

It's the last week of autumn. But it will feel like early summer Monday in San Diego. The daytime high will hit 75 degrees, or 10 degrees above normal.

That's also a couple of degrees higher than Monday's forecast high for Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where heat typically comes with humidity.

A high pressure system over the western United States is producing unseasonably warm weather that will last through Tuesday, says the National Weather Service. San Diego County's inland areas will be in the mid-to-upper 70s for the next couple of days.

The nights also will be warmer than usual. Forecasters say the low in San Diego on Monday night will be 57.

San Diego's weather will be a thing of envy this week, especially to the people of Boston.

The forecast low for Beantown on Monday is 7 degrees.

The warm spell will coincide with strong surf. Solspot.com says waves will reach the 4' to 6' range Monday, with some sets up to 8'.

The waves will be significantly bigger in South County, at the favored breaks, like Windansea. A rip current advisory will be in place for the entire coastline. Sea surface temps: 58-60 degrees.

There will be a 6' high tide at 7:46 a.m. The sun will set at 4:44 p.m.
