New York just legalized infanticide… killing babies is now a woman’s “right” in the same state that refuses to enforce capital punishment against serial killers

    January 2019

    (Natural News)

One of the fundamental tenets of modern-day “liberalism,” at least in the Democratic-socialist sense, maintains that the death penalty is somehow “inhumane” as a punishment for criminals because capital punishment violates what it means to have a just society that’s committed to “humanism” and “equality.” And yet, the very same liberals who claim to support the dignity of human life in this sense somehow see nothing wrong with violently murdering unborn babies still in the womb, dubbing this evil act “reproductive rights.”

The blatant hypocrisy of Leftists in this regard couldn’t be more evident following the recent passage of the “Reproductive Health Act” in New York, which as we recently reported was signed into law with thunderous applause and cheers from the Left Cult. The new law not only allows women to legally get abortions at any time, including to term, but also contains provisions for babies born following botched abortions to be murdered after they leave the womb – a form of human genocide known as infanticide.

Interestingly enough, New York has been at the forefront of aggressively opposing the death penalty, which the far-left American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) says, “is applied in an unfair and unjust manner against people,” and thus should never be allowed. Many liberals, including the very same ones in New York who celebrated the passage of the Reproductive Health Act, also contend that the death penalty represents “cruel and unusual punishment” – which, again, they don’t apply to unborn babies who are murdered in the womb through abortion.

Sponsored solution from the Health Ranger Store: Lab-verified Nascent Iodine solution is a dietary supplement that provides your body with supplemental iodine to help protect your thyroid during radiation exposure. Nuclear accidents such as Fukushima (or nuclear war) can expose your body to radioactive iodine-131, a dangerous radioisotope. Pre-loading your system with stable iodine occupies the iodine receptor sites on your organs, causing your body to naturally expel radioactive iodine you may have been exposed to through air, food, water or milk products. This defensive strategy is recommended by nearly all health authorities, worldwide, including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

“Unlike conservatives, who follow the biblical ‘eye for an eye’ doctrine, liberals argue that the death penalty is merely state-sponsored murder that violates the human right to life,” writes Dr. Jill Silos-Rooney, Ph.D., for ThoughtCo.com. “They agree with the U.S. Catholic Conference that ‘we cannot teach that killing is wrong by killing,'” she adds, suggesting that liberals always take the moral high ground when it comes to a human being’s right to life.

But somehow this moral high ground quickly erodes once unborn human life enters the conversation, as the Liberal Mob doesn’t believe that unborn human life has any value whatsoever. Some liberals have even gone so far as to suggest that a developing baby in the womb is just a worthless clump of “medical waste” that pregnant women should be allowed to discard at will.
“Convicted criminals aren’t subjected to the death penalty in New York state, but now children up until the ninth month of pregnancy can be given lethal injections and poisoned to death,” says Lila Rose, president and founder of the national pro-life organization Live Action, pointing out the fact that, at the end of the day, liberals really couldn’t care less about human life. “This is no different than infanticide.”

New York bookstore owner closes store in protest of New York legalizing infanticide

Thankfully, not all New Yorkers believe that murdering human babies is a “right.” Jon Speed, owner of “The Book Scout” in Syracuse, for instance, reportedly closed his shop the day after the Reproductive Health Act was passed, in protest of his state’s decision to succumb to the Left Cult’s bloodlust for more dead babies.

“The book store is closed today. It is a day of mourning in New York,” read the sign on the door of Speed’s store following the bill’s passage. “In honor of the thousands of babies that will die in the years to come, we shall not be collecting sales tax for this tyrannical government today. We will on other days, under duress, but not today.”

(Natural News) New York Democrats have just made late-term abortions the law of the land, legalizing the practice of murdering preborn infants up until the moment of birth. The bill, named the Reproductive Health Act, uses an overly broad “health” exception for third-term abortions which many people find repugnant. Even health professionals within the field of obstetrics say that third-term abortions are never necessary; at that point, the child should just be delivered, not murdered.
As a state with an overwhelming demand for the right to murder the unborn, New York’s crackdown on gun rights is laughable. Democrat politicians preach violence, blame guns for the problems tearing our society apart, and call for the termination of the Second Amendment — all while turning a blind eye to the inherent violence of ripping a fetus from the womb and tearing it to pieces.
New York passes bill to protect late-term abortions

After making its way through state legislature, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the highly detestable Reproductive Health Act (RHA) into law. Under RHA, abortions are legal until 24 weeks of gestation — at which point, a majority of babies are able to survive outside the womb with well-orchestrated care.
But, the legislation also provides room for abortions after this 24-week period, when a baby would have an excellent chance at survival. The broadness of this “health” exception has been a sticking point for pro-life advocates.
New York Right To Life contends that the legislation makes it possible to abort a baby for any reason, including “age, economic, social and emotional factors, rather than the biological definition of ‘health’ that normally comes to mind.”
Life News reports further that RHA also introduced a new definition for the word “person.” The pro-abortionist definition is now “a human being who has been born and is alive.”
Under RHA, abortion is named a “fundamental right,” which the state cannot “deny, regulate or restrict.”
As many others have surmised, this language all but ensures that abortions can be carried out at any stage of pregnancy, up until the moment of birth. And Democrats around the country are celebrating this as a victory.
Guns are bad, but murder is fine

While New York hasn’t completely stripped citizens of their Second Amendment rights, the deep blue state has gone to extreme lengths to restrict gun rights and is known for having some of the toughest gun laws in the country. As Guns To Carry reports:
The New York state gun laws are regarded as very restrictive and operate on a “May Issue” policy at the local county level. This means that the issuance of a pistol license is entirely up to the issuing officer. As a rough rule, the higher the population of a county the more restrictive the gun laws become with New York City being the most restrictive.
While it may be a bit easier in more rural areas of the state, getting a pistol permit can still take six months or longer. The climate in New York is not gun-friendly, to say the least.

The Left is especially prone to preying upon school shootings and similar tragedies, using them as propaganda to fill their anti-American agenda. There is a great bit of irony in liberal fear-mongering over a constitutional right that’s been in place for centuries and the party’s role in promoting and carrying out millions of abortions. It is impossible to rationally believe that violence and death caused by guns is bad, while also believing that death by way of abortion is “good.”
Unless the left-wing’s agenda is a bit of a Trojan horse: The Left presents abortion as a medical necessity for moral good and equality, and gun control as a means to “advance” society and protect people from danger. But the truth is that the Second Amendment was designed to protect us from Big Government — not from each other. And as such, a government that wishes to disarm its people probably shouldn’t be trusted.
In the same purview, abortion is not actually a “good” thing for women; it’s merely a tool of the deranged Left to gain power and influence over women.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Signs Abortion Bill Allowing Murder of Unborn Up Until Birth

    January 23, 2019

    ALBANY, N.Y. —
Liberal New York governor Andrew Cuomo, who has decried what he calls “extreme conservative” politicians who impose on the people by law “their view of what God says should be done,” has signed into law a bill that not only codifies, but also expands abortion access in the state, allowing babies to be killed during the third trimester if they are not expected to survive or if they are deemed to threaten the health or life of the mother.

“Every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry the pregnancy to term, to give birth to a child, or to have an abortion,” the Reproductive Health Act reads in part. “A health care practitioner … may perform an abortion when … the patient is within twenty-four weeks from the commencement of pregnancy, or there is an absence of fetal viability, or the abortion is necessary to protect the patient’s life or health.”

The legislation passed the state Senate 38-24 and the Assembly 92-47 on Tuesday—the day marking the 46th year of Roe v. Wade—and was quickly signed into law the same day by Cuomo, who was joined during the signing ceremony by Sarah Ragle Weddington, the attorney who had represented Roe before the Supreme Court.

As previously reported, Roe, who later came forward as Norma McCorvey, admitted in her 1994 book “I Am Roe” that her case was a lie, outlining that she made up the claim that she had been raped at the advice of her feminist attorneys to make her effort more convincing.

McCorvey also never obtained an abortion, but put her daughter up for adoption and went on to become a vocal pro-life advocate, even going to court in an effort to overturn the ruling.

“My decisions were wrong and I am fighting with every breath to change what has occurred,” McCorvey, who died in 2017, said in 2008.

Cuomo praised Waddington during his speech, and also presented her with an award for “public service,” telling her “God bless you” as he kissed her on the cheek.
“In many ways, Sarah, what you did is what we as a collective try to do. You made such a difference in your life. You’ve been such an example for so many. Rarely has such a precedent been so powerful for so long,” he stated. “And they way you did it, taking on all the odds—you couldn’t write a better story or heroism or courage or leadership.”
“Sarah, that is such a beautiful public service. That is such a precedent that had driven laws all across the nation,” Cuomo remarked.

He told those gathered that the event that he believed the bill was necessary because he feared that Roe v. Wade would be overturned by the Supreme Court and that he needed to “protect our state.” As previously reported, Cuomo had refused to sign the budget bill this coming April without the passage of the Reproductive Health Act.

“We should not be here in the first place. We should not have a federal government that is trying to roll back women’s rights,” Cuomo stated. “This administration defies American evolution. We’re supposed to be moving forward. We’re supposed to be advancing. We’re supposed to live and learn. We’re supposed to be growing.”

He again called for the presentation of a ballot initiative, which would codify what he called “a woman’s right to control her own body” in the New York Constitution. The constitutional amendment would be in addition to the legislation that he signed Tuesday evening, so as to prevent any efforts by future leadership to restrict or do away with abortion “rights.”

Cuomo claimed that the issue is a matter of “equality,” comparing it to his efforts for “marriage equality.”

“This has been too long coming, and it has been too obvious and too unfair. Women’s equality in the law and in the constitution for all,” he stated, generating applause.

According to video footage posted online, the Senate chambers broke into standing cheers and applause after the bill was passed.

One World Trade Center was also lit pink overnight to celebrate the passage of the so-called Reproductive Health Act, according to Joseph Spector of the Albany Democrat & Chronicle.

In addition to allowing babies to be aborted at any time if they are deemed non-viable or if the mother’s health or life is stated to be jeopardized, the legislation also removes protections for babies who survive attempted abortions and eliminates language from criminal statutes that would prosecute an individual for acts that result in the death of an unborn baby. Non-physicians, such as nurse practitioners, physician assistants and midwives, will additionally now be permitted to perform abortions.

Such is why pro-life groups have deemed the legislation an abortion access expansion bill, and not just codification.

“The legislature finds that comprehensive reproductive health care, including contraception and abortion, is a fundamental component of a woman’s health, privacy and equality,” the bill reads. “Abortion is one of the safest medical procedures performed in the United States; the goal of medical regulation should be to improve the quality and availability of healthcare services.”

Groups such as New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms were among those who actively opposed the legislation, while also acknowledging that it would likely pass due to the Democratic control of the state legislature.

“New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms opposes the Reproductive Health Act in the strongest possible terms. We respectfully call upon members of the legislature to summon the courage and compassion to vote against it,” it wrote in a Memorandum of Opposition.

Among its numerous concerns, the organization lamented the legislation’s expansion into the “health” of the mother, which it believes is a broad term that could be utilized for virtually any reason. It pointed to the 1973 Supreme Court case of Doe v. Bolton, which determined that “medical judgment may be exercised in the light of all factors—physical, emotional, psychological, familial, and the woman’s age—relevant to the well-being of the patient. All these factors may relate to health.”

“By passing the RHA, the state legislature has embraced the proposition that some living human beings do not deserve the protection of our laws. This proposition flies in the face of our American tradition of respect for human life. Without the right to life, the other rights guaranteed in the Constitution have no meaning,” Executive Director Jason McGuire said in a statement Tuesday evening.

“Contrary to the rhetoric of RHA advocates, abortion access does nothing to advance the rights of women; rather, it invites both women and men to view unborn children—their own unborn children—as disposable objects,” he remarked. “Rather than expanding access to abortion, the State of New York ought to promote adoption in crisis pregnancy situations.”

As previously reported, former U.S. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop once outlined that the life or health of the mother is never a reason for an abortion as doctors will simply deliver the baby in order to save both lives.

“Protection of the life of the mother as an excuse for an abortion is a smoke screen. In my 36 years of pediatric surgery, I have never known of one instance where the child had to be aborted to save the mother’s life,” he said. “If toward the end of the pregnancy complications arise that threaten the mother’s health, the doctor will induce labor or perform a Caesarean section.”

“[The doctor’s] intention is to save the life of both the mother and the baby,” Koop continued. “The baby’s life is never willfully destroyed because the mother’s life is in danger.

2 Kings 21:16 reads, “Moreover, Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.”
