Northern California rattled by flurry of quakes, including a 6.0

A 3.7 earthquake Thursday morning in the Bay Area is the latest of several moderate earthquakes to hit the Northern California region in recent days.

On Monday, a 5.6 earthquake hit east of Eureka. On Tuesday, a 6.0 magnitude quake occurred off the coast of southern Oregon.

The latest quake was reported two miles from Crockett, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 9:13 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 5.6 miles.

A magnitude 3.7 earthquake was also reported Wednesday in the same area, also two miles from Crockett, according to the USGS.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was two miles from Vallejo, four miles from Rodeo and 23 miles from San Francisco City Hall.
