3. Mercer County, N.J.
4. East Baton Rouge Parish, La.
5. District of Columbia
6. Baltimore
7. San Francisco County, Calif.
8. Essex County, N.J.
9. Orleans Parish, La.
10. St. Louis
Lowest figures, per capita
1. Collin County
2. Gwinnett County, Ga.
3. Denton County
4. Virginia Beach, Va.
5. McHenry County, Ill.
6. Dakota County, Minn.
7. St. Charles County, Mo.
8. Johnson County, Kan.
9. Prince William County, Va.
10. Sarasota County, Fla.
Note: both Collin and Denton Counties adjoin Dallas County, TX, and increasingly are considered part of the Dallas/Ft. Worth "metroplex"
