Due to new regulations imposed by ObamaCare, more than two dozen widows who were married to Madison County, Ala., employees are now without health insurance.

The widows lost their healthcare coverage this year after the county was notified that these new rules would cause its health insurance program to cost an additional $25 million a year.

As a result, county commissioners decided to join a state-wide insurance network that includes 50 other county governments.

But Dale Strong, Madison County Commission Chairman, warned:

“In joining with this large group, it does not provide for spouses when their husbands die or their wives die.”

Roger Jones, Madison County Commissioner, added:

“A lot of these people are on low fixed incomes, some of them are living on Social Security and very little else, and health insurance is very important to them.”

Stories like these are playing out all over America. Yet, Barack Obama and the Democrats keep popping champagne corks and taking victory laps over a disastrous program they continue to call a success.
