HOUSTON - A Woodlands man has found a way to campaign against President Barack Obama from his grave.

Jim Harrison's life ended Feb. 27 from cancer, but Harrison's political views are alive and well. The last line of Harrison's obituary reads:

"In lieu of flowers, at Jim's request, please make a donation to ANYONE running against Barack Hussein Obama or the American Cancer Society."

"He was an avid Republican and just took that to the grave with him. Just enjoyed it. Kind of a parting shot," said John Rundlof, Harrison’s stepson.

The 68-year old wrote the line himself before he passed on.

"We saw it. We said, ‘Yes Jim. You've got to put it in.’ It was awesome. He's a staunch Republican and everybody, they remember that obituary when they see it," said Ginger Rundlof, Harrison’s widow.

Harrison lived in the Woodlands, but he's making news across the country. It turns out this just might be a trend. We found at least 5 others, across the US, with that same line in their obituaries.

"There are extremists everywhere. To be remembered in this way is really sadder for him than it is a comment about the president. It's immensely disrespectful and I'm sure that's exactly how he meant it. He probably held these extreme views during his life. That's the reason he includes the presidents middle name," said liberal talk show host Geoff Berg.

"He loves America. He loved America and he wants it to be in safe hands for his grand kids," said Ginger.

"It's really sad that people who probably fancy themselves rather patriotic find themselves in the position of comparing the president of the United States to a cancer," said Berg.

"I thought it was great. It was totally Jim. He had such a great since of humor, great heart. Everybody who met him loved him," added Harrison's widow.

"There's been positive feedback and negative feedback. It was just one of those where he was unhappy with 2008. He wants change. Wants to see new blood in there. So he was hoping to be around for 2012 so he could put in his vote," said Harrison's stepson.

Harrison may not be able to vote but he is getting his opinion in. The family said they have received a number of donations.
