Thread: U.S. Soccer Fed holds "Hispanic recruitment" Day..

THis is so discriminatory....they're holding a "Hispanic" youth soccer talent recruiting day....can you imagine if they held a "White" youth soccer talent day? Why do they get away with this? If non-hispanic kids show up to try out are they going to be turned away? Or are they hoping that by just naming the event "Hispanic Talent Day" that that alone would deter any non-Hispanic kids from showing up to try out?

ROCKFORD —

United States Soccer Federation national staff coach Roberto Lopez is looking for local soccer talent to play at the state, regional and possibly even national levels.

What: Hispanic Talent Day

When: Sept. 6

Where: Sportscore 2

Who: Soccer tryouts for all races

Time: 9 to 11 a.m. for players born in 1994 and 1995; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for players born in 1993 and 1992

Lopez will be in town to host Hispanic Talent Day in the Rock River Valley on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Sportscore 2 in Loves Park. Players of all races born from 1992 through 1995 are welcome to register.

Other coaches also will be on hand from state, regional and major league soccer levels to assist in the scouting event.

This is the new face of racism in the US.

I remember once getting an email for a huge job fair in the Detroit area that was going to be attended by all the major companies in the area. I was surprised since there was so much bad news about the hiring picture in the Detroit area but this job fair painted such a rosy picture that I filled out the application and when I got to the end I found out that I was not allowed to attend because the job fair was only for "minorities".

yeah, right..that's why they are advertising it as "Hispanic Talent Day"....give me a break...they get away with being discriminatory and whine that every failure or disappointment in their own lives is an imagined "racist" slight.
