The Police Can’t Protect You!

Imagine yourself at work. You’re going through your shift, trying to support you and those you love. Suddenly, several armed gunmen burst through the door attempting armed robbery, and terrifying you and your fellow employees. You have your lawful concealed carry weapon with you, and decide to act. You choose the proper moment carefully, maximizing success by utilizing the element of surprise to your advantage. As a brief exchange of gunfire ensues, you feel your heart bounding out of your chest, you learn what tunnel vision feels like, and time slows so much, you see the bullets traveling as they leave your muzzle. Thankful that you and your employees are still alive, you frantically call 911. This exact event happened in West Dallas, but with a strange twist. A 74 minute response time from Dallas P.D.!

Fellow patriots, the purpose of this is not to throw the Dallas police “under the bus.” Yes 74 minutes is inexcusable, but the point is that this story illustrates why you can’t trust the police to protect you and those you love. As a former LEO myself, I can attest to the fact that many times the police are too late. Not because they want to be, but rather because you’re not the only person in your city/municipality that they must protect. Police are busy, and sometimes under staffed.

The point here is that we as Americans have to bear some personal responsibility, to protect ourselves and our families. We all hope the day never comes where we have to use our weapon, but should the need arise you need to be ready. Get the training, practice regularly, carry always, and see to it that the bad guy is getting the chalk outline around his corpse. Not you!
