Homeless at Heathrow Airport 1:41 (Video)

Airport officials attempt to find shelter for homeless who pretend to be passengers. ITN's Adam Powell reports.

There are already homeless people living in our airports getting lost in the crowds as passengers.

We personally know one guy who was living at Sky Harbor in Phoenix for 8 months following his divorce. his wife, who had cleaned out the bank accounts and hidden the money in accounts opened by her boyfriend, got the house and all he was left with was his car

He worked with another friend who lives nearby and nobody had any clue until his daughter spilled the beans to our friend, who then offered to rent him a room until he could get on his feet which he since has.

This guy told us we would be shocked to know how many people are doing this.....he personally, at that time, knew of 28 He explained that they are good people, working people, who just had something bad and/or unexpected happen, the airport provides safety, dignity, all resources necessary to live. He said it's easy enough to do....stay clean, don't cause problems, don't hang around the same area all the time, and have someplace else to be other than the airport all of the time and they blend right in looking just like any traveler.
