East. Louis Police and U.S. Marshals are searching for a woman who allegedly drove a vehicle into a crowd, hitting three women and a man on June 27.

Video that captured the hit-and-run is dramatic, but the victims were not seriously hurt, according to East St. Louis Police Detective Juan McCoy. They sustained scrapes and bruises, he said.

The people were hit about 6:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of Piggott Avenue. There was an altercation that stemmed from an incident earlier that day between a group of girls at the St. Clair Square Mall in Fairview Heights, McCoy said.

Police are searching for Moeshia Allen of East St. Louis.

McCoy said Allen wasn't involved in the fight but went to help a friend of a friend's sister.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Allen is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477 or East St. Louis Police at 618-482-6796.
