Porter Wright: Law Firm That Dropped Trump Advises CCP-Linked Firms, Aided In Outsourcing U.S. Jobs To China

Porter Wright, a law firm that reneged on providing representation to the Trump campaign’s anti-fraud lawsuits in Pennsylvania, retains lawyers who have advised the Chinese Communist Party, The National Pulse can reveal.

It was announced this week that Porter Wright would no longer represent the Trump campaign in its efforts to expose Democrat voter fraud.
But while Porter Wright refuses to provide counsel to President Trump, the law firm is willing to collaborate with the Chinese Communist Party and employ individuals with ties to the regime.

Yuanyou “Sunny” Yang – Of Counsel at the firm’s Pennsylvania office – describes in her bio that she “represents Chinese entities doing business in the U.S., as well as U.S. entities pursing investments and operating in China.”


Porter Wright’s Yang.Yang’s resume reveals she spoke at the Chinese Communist Party’s Department of Justice in the municipality of Chongqing on October 16th, 2020. Specifically, the “Judicial Bureau of Yubei District, Chongqing City” invited Yang to advise on the issue of “Common Compliance Issues and Risk Prevention of Chinese Enterprises’ Overseas Investment.”

Yang has also spoke at the Beijing Long An Law Firm in a lecture series entitled, “The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States – New Challenges for Foreign Investment.”

The Beijing-based firm has been “commended” by the Chinese Communist Party for “outstanding performance in Party building for many years,” as the firm overwhelmingly staffs itself with Chinese Communist Party apparatchiks.

The office has insisted it “carefully studies Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, actively organizes Party building activities, and carefully explores the long-term working mechanism of Party building work, insistently promoting the construction by Party building and put it into practical action to serve the society.”

“In the future, Long An Law Firm will work harder to do a good job in Party building, further strengthen the standardization of Party organization work, discover and train young lawyers, support Party leadership, serve the people, and continue to contribute to the construction of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics,” the firm also notes.

Yang, who holds degrees from two Chinese Communist Party-led institutions including Sichuan University and Southwest University, has lectured at her alma mater Southwest University’s school of Political Science and Law on two occasions in July of 2020. Southwest University describes itself as “under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China” that retains “support in the construction and development from Central Government of China.”

In 2017, Yang advised on the topic of “international law firm management” at another Chinese Communist Party-linked body: the Chengdu Bar Association.

Yang’s resume reveals that Porter Wright has represented a host of Chinese companies, which are invariably linked to the Chinese Communist government which is hostile to President Trump and his “America First” agenda.

The firm also appears to have helped facilitate the outsourcing of U.S. jobs to China by “representing a U.S. company in negotiating certain investment agreements and supplier agreements with a Chinese manufacturer.”

Porter Wright helped facilitate closer economic ties between the two countries, even in areas rife with intellectual property theft.

The company:

• Represented a major Chinese steel manufacturer related to its acquisition of a division of a U.S. company;
• Represented a major Chinese mineral production company related to its acquisition of a spinoff of a U.S. company and related environmental compliance issues;
• Represented a Chinese automobile accessories company in setting up a U.S. joint venture with a U.S. company;
• Obtained settlement that the client, a major Chinese technology company, found favorable in a breach of Know-How Transfer Agreement, fraud and negligent misrepresentation case.

In other words, Porter Wright is willing to represent Chinese companies – even in arbitration against U.S. firms – yet refuses to represent the President of the United States.
