President Obama calls African-Americans a ‘mongrel people’

NEW YORK — President Obama waded into the national race debate in an unlikely setting and with an unusual choice of words: telling daytime talk show hosts that African-Americans are “sort of a mongrel people.â€

Now this President has lowered himself to labeling. Not the kind of thing that a President should be doing.

Obama has always labeled people - and mislabeled those who he defends.

Obama "is" a divider, even though he prefaced on the campaign trail that he was not a divider.

Uh huh.

You know when you meet someone new (a stranger really) and they say something like, "I like to think of myself as a nice guy."

It can be anything they say, but they reference "their perceptions" of "their personality", which many time s has nothing to do with reality.

Be cautious with anything like this from a stranger, besides why are they "saying" it instead of "showing" it? Because they have doubts and know themselves more than anyone, and they want others to not see them for what they are.

On the campaign trail Obama said he was "a uniter" - "implying" that he's not a divider, which is exactly what he is.

Then there's those who say something that REALLY references their personality, but they're trying to make it sound like they're trying to be funny about it - like, "I can get nasty if I have to."

Best advice - BELIEVE THEM! Never shrug off what they've just said, and do not let them deceive anyone with that, especially yourself.

A good number of these types of people cannot deal with criticism of themselves, so they have to try to change the perception of themselves right up front.

People who "are" nice don't have to change perceptions - they just are nice without having to prove they are, they just are.

It's quite simple...Obumble just loves to listen to the sound of his own voice. All I hear is...I...blah..blah...me...blah..blah...blah...I.. me...blah..blah....

Puts me right to sleep.

The definition of mongrel as an adjective is defined as "of mixed breed, nature, or origin," according to dictionary.com.

Well not exactly. Once again media is supplying cover for the snake. Polite company would not refer to any persons as mongrels as it's a term typically applied to dogs. And once again he displays his racial arrogance with "but we just know more about it." I wonder if this "knowledge" outranks "the rich life experience of a Latina woman?" Oblahblah needs to go!

I thought "mongrel" was a VERY odd choice of words coming from a POTUS. The first thing one thinks about is a dog. This man clearly has no class.

I didn't watch those old gas bags on the View - I can't stand the way they cackle over each other like a bunch of hens, but I did hear some blurbs and I found it insulting that this JOKE of a POTUS was sitting there talking about Jay-Z and something called snookie when there are men and women in the mid east dying for this country!

NoBueno, I would give my left nut to live in a world where I don't know who snookie is. Snookie is a horrible human being on the popular MTV show Jersey Shore, which is a reality show that follows around the most obnoxious group of New York kids as they drink and party in Jersey. It is the most shallow, ridiculous show ever.
