Gun Bans Advance as Democrats Clamor to TAKE YOUR GUNS

Gun Bans Advance as Democrats Clamor to TAKE YOUR GUNS

Posted by Darla Dawald, National Director on March 14, 2013 at 5:04am in Patriot Action Alerts

This Week Gun Bans Advance. I know many are worried about the federal government imposing gun bans, I don't know if it has really occurred to you that the States are the ones imposing bans and affecting law state by state. This is just another reason why we have encouraged you to elect Constitutional Conservatives to all local offices including City, County, and State legislators.

The Democrats are hell bent on taking away our inalienable rights granted to us by our Creator! We have been aiding and abetting them by failure to get out there and do the work to elect the RIGHT people for the job. Our rights are being taken one by one while Nero is fiddling. I have provided several states that have gun bans and Gun Show bans as of this week....

    Arizona-Glendale:

GLENDALE, Calif. (KTLA) — The city of Glendale has approved an ordinance banning a long-running gun show and similar events from being held on city property.

The Glendale Civic Auditorium has been the home of the Glendale Gun Show for 20 years.

But in the wake of the Sandy Hook school shooting in Connecticut, growing public pressure led lawmakers to start considering the ban.

The proposal was first suggested by Councilman Rafi Manoukian back in December.

The City Council voted 3-2 on Tuesday night in favor of the ban, which bars the possession and sale of all guns and ammunition on city-owned property.

It does not affect gun stores already in Glendale. The ban is expected to be officially adopted on March 19.

    Colorado:
Magazine ban among five Democratic gun control bills passed by Senate

DENVER — After another eight hours of debate, the Colorado Senate passed five Democratic gun control bills Monday.

The fifth and final vote came after four hours of discussion of House Bill 1224, a ban on high-capacity magazines of 15 rounds or more, which passed on a vote of 18-17.

Two Democrats, Sen. Lois Tochtrop of Thornton and Sen. Cheri Jahn of Wheat Ridge, joined Republicans in voting no.

Republicans argued at length against the two most important measures: House Bill 1229, which mandates universal background checks on all gun sales, and the high-capacity magazine ban, both of which have the backing of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, the advocacy group founded and funded by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

“The de facto governor of Colorado is Michael Bloomberg,” said an angry Senate Minority Leader Bill Cadman, R-Colorado Springs, expressing a frustration widely held among Colorado Republicans that the state’s Democrats are being controlled by outside political forces. More Here

Colorado gun-control bills near final passage

The 15-round magazine limit would make Colorado the first state outside the East Coast to ratchet back gun rights after last year’s mass shootings.

DENVER — Ammunition limits cleared Colorado’s Democratic Legislature on Wednesday and were on their way to the governor, who has said he’ll sign the measure into law.

The 15-round magazine limit would make Colorado the first state outside the East Coast to ratchet back gun rights after last year’s mass shootings.

Colorado’s gun-control debates have been watched because of the state’s gun-loving frontier heritage and painful history of mass shootings, most recently last summer’s movie-theater shooting that killed 12.

“I am sick and tired of the bloodshed,” said Rep. Rhonda Fields, sponsor of the ammunition limit and a Democrat whose suburban Denver district includes the theater. “Whatever we can do to curb the gun violence and the bloodshed, we have a responsibility to do that.” More Here

    Connecticut:

Gun Makers Packing Their Bags as States Consider Bans

As some states move to enact stricter gun regulations, manufacturers of firearms, ammunition and magazines are looking to take their businesses elsewhere.

States including Colorado, Maryland and Connecticut are debating new restrictions on gun ownership, while New York will face a battle in court beginning this month after passing one of the strictest laws in the country.

Those states have something else in common. Each of them is home to some of the firearms industry’s most well-known names, who are promising to move operations to more gun-friendly states.

Firearms businesses, responsible for making and selling guns, magazines and other related products, have cited business interruptions and added costs as reasons to move. Meanwhile, several manufacturers like Maryland’s Beretta USA already have operations outside of their home states, making an entire move a bit easier.

Given the added economic activity and in-state jobs those companies could bring, Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry and politicians from Missouri, Tennessee, Wyoming and others are courting gun manufacturers, as well as other businesses like Colorado magazine maker Magpul.

A bipartisan task force in the state announced two separate proposals, split along party lines. Democrats on the task force included in their recommendation a magazine restriction that would require current owners of rifle and pistol magazines that hold more than 10 rounds to discard them by Oct. 1. Pistols that are unable to hold 10 rounds or less would no longer be usable.According to a report from the NSSF, Connecticut stands to lose 1,768 jobs, $13.5 million in business tax revenue and $450 million in economic activity if Colt, Mossberg & Sons and Stag Arms move elsewhere.

Overall, the firearms industry accounts for $1.75 billion in economic activity and 7,340 direct and indirect jobs in Connecticut. Read more

This is the tip of the iceberg. As more and more states enact these bans and implement the new laws they become a model for other states to boldly follow.

HAVE YOU SIGNED THE PETITION YET?

President Obama and his leftist cohorts are moving rapidly to restrict - and even eliminate - your gun rights, while protecting their own! The time is now for freedom-loving Americans to tell elected officials "hands off" our Second Amendment rights.

Total Gun Ban is the Real Goal Admits Democratic Congresswoman

As many Democrats go about the country blithely saying in soothing voices that they don’t really want to take away our guns, some Democrats are telling the truth about their real goal. Rep. Jan Schakowsky is one of those elected officials revealing the truth and that truth is the measly bills they’ve introduced in Congress today are only the beginning. A total ban is their real goal.

Jason Mattera caught the extremist, left-wing congresswoman in a moment of candor that should alarm every gun owner in America. She’s looking to ban all your guns. See the Video Here
