GOP, Tea Party try to distance themselves from racial taunts

WASHINGTON — Republican Party officials and Tea Party protest organizers Sunday blasted health care bill demonstrators who hurled racial and homophobic slurs at black and gay lawmakers at the Capitol Saturday.

House Minority Leader John Boehner, D-Ohio, appaering on NBC's "Meet the Press,"called the actions by some protesters "reprehensible" and maintained that they were isolated incidents that shouldn’t reflect on Tea Party participants as a whole. Amy Kremer, coordinator of the Tea Party Express, agreed.

“I absolutely think it’s isolated,â€

Was any of this caught on tape? I"m not saying it didn't happen but just find it odd that we've seen nothing which was captured and that surprises me because it seems so unlikely that it wouldnt have been.

There was a tape on ABC or NBC News last night.
Lots of people yelling "KILL THE BILL"
and other people yelling other things right after that.
Lots of background noise.
Hard to understand all of it.
A good sound expert could reduce the background sounds
and make it much easier to understand exactly what was said.
If only one person yelled the obscenity the mike would have had to have been very close to that exact person to pick it up clearly.

Aint that just like McClatchy to not follow up and lean that those were Democrats?

I'm sure those people were plants and sent there by the Democratic party. The only people dumb enough to believe they are anything else are the mouth pieces for the Socialists.

Thanks JD2. Was just wondering if they had managed to catch anything specific which might give some idea as to whether this was the work of an isolated group of troublemakers,always guaranteed to show up at these things, or simply one or two individuals who alowed emotion and anger to override civility and common sense.

Neither would be excusable or acceptable, of course, but nice to know which it was.
