You’ll Never Guess What Group An Ohio Police Department Will Begin Profiling for This Summer… And What Kind of Tickets Will Be Issued When Identified

In the name of safety an Ohio Police Chief completely out of the ordinary. The Chief is openly and blatantly calling for profiling for his entire department, and says his team will be issuing a high volume of new tickets this summer.
The Blaze has more.
Only thing is, there’s a catch, which is why the chief urged individuals to read “the entire offering before making a knee jerk comment.”
“Under my command, we have always been an agency which has not issued a lot of tickets,” Brimfield Police Department chief David Oliver wrote at the beginning of his now-viral Facebook post. “We make a good amount traffic stops and arrests, yet we issue few citations. That all changes on Monday, June 9th, 2014. For the summer, we will become an agency with a mission to write tons of tickets. We are not doing this for the revenue.”
Ready for the group and offense to be revealed? Like I said, you’ll never guess it.
“I am ordering my officers to stop anyone (using expert profiling techniques taught to us by an ancient order of Shaolin monk police officers) who is a member of this group of people,” Oliver continued. “When my officers observe anyone belonging to this specific group, we will immediately stop the person or persons (sometimes they travel in groups) and give them a ticket.”
The police chief final paragraph added a final twist that offered some much-needed additional details regarding his department’s new policy.
“Effective June 9th, 2014 we begin ‘Operation Safe Summer.’ My officers are ordered to stop anyone appearing to be 15 years of age or under who is riding a bicycle and wearing a helmet while doing so,” Oliver wrote. “My officers will then issue the youthful offender a ticket for a free ice cream cone from Frank’s Drive-in.”
Very unique, creative and thoughtful. Much better than violating 4th Amendment rights and hassling legal gun owners. I like this new direction.
