    Wal-Mart Sues Over 'Wal-Ocaust' T-Shirts

    http://www.nbc17.com/news/8653675/detail.html

ATLANTA -- Wal-Mart has filed a federal lawsuit over a warped version of its logo appearing on T-shirts with the word "Wal-ocaust" in blue over an Iron Eagle clutching a yellow smiley face. It also appears on the Web site Wal-ocaust.com

When the world's largest retailer found out, it asked for a cease-and-desist order. "Wal-ocaust" creator Charles Smith responded with a federal lawsuit asking a judge to decide if he can continue.

Smith acknowledges the logo is tasteless, but he and his attorneys --part of Ralph Nader's Public Citizen Litigation Group -- consider it a free speech battle.

He said he's made a total of $5.10 from the sale of a single "Wal-ocaust" T -shirt.

I WANT one of these shirts!

My husband has a shirt with grant and lee on it with a stars and stripes and a stars and bars that says "civil war history" or something like that.

He was told he couldn't go INTO wal mart wearing that shirt --probably ten years ago because of the confederate flag on it! I paid a lot of money for that shirt because my father had a lee and grant commemorative silver coin years ago and it reminded me of that.

I wonder what they'd say if we walked in wearing the logo from this article! I love it!!!!!!!!

I haven't shopped in Wal Mart in this city since they told me I couldn't work there because I don't speak Spanish but I'd go shopping there every day-- or at least walk through -- if I could find one of these t-shirts to wear!!!!!

The Wal-ocaust shirts have an injunction against them that is currently being fought in Federal Court so they are unavailable at this time.

You can however get a Wal-qaeda shirt from here:

    http://www.wal-qaeda.com

You'd better hurry though, they could get another injunction any day!
