Republicans Putting Rights of Rapists Over Parents’ Rights According to MSNBC Host
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has to be the most liberal Republican in the US Senate and MSNBC is undoubtedly the most far-left liberal progressive and irrational mainstream media outlet in America!
In the video clip below, it opens with McCain stating that he doesn’t understand why other Republicans would filibuster the anti-gun laws. McCain said:
“I, I don’t understand it. The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand…I don’t understand it. What are we afraid of?”
Evidently what McCain doesn’t understand is that the Democrats control the Senate and once the anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment bills go to the floor of the Senate, debate won’t amount to anything. As soon as the debate is over, the controlling Democrats will vote to approve all of the controversial bills. The only legal means left for Republicans to combat the anti-constitutional bills is to filibuster long enough for the bills to die on the Senate floor. You would think that an experienced politician like McCain would understand basic procedure, but evidently, he’s confused and doesn’t understand.
McCain is also one of the Republicans pushing the massive immigration reform bill that allows for one million foreign workers to come to the US every year and also provides a path to citizenship for the 11+ million illegals already in the US. Considering the direction that McCain has turned recently, I can’t help but wonder if he is getting senile or just turning his back on the conservatives that voted him into office.
After McCain is interviewed on the video below, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough demonstrated his left-wing warped and twisted mentality. He said:
“[I] tell you what, Richard Haass, I saw John McCain there. And I’m hopeful. Because, you know, there are a lot of guys out there in the Senate and they are going out because it’s a free shot. This is free. I’m going to filibuster gun control and you automatically win unconditional support from a segment of your voting population. It doesn’t cost anything. It’s not like making a tough choice on Medicare or Medicaid or Sociall Security. This costs you nothing. But it does cost the Republican Party, overall. And I think John McCain understands that.”
“We got an issue that is a 92-7 [percent] issue and I can’t believe that Republicans, first of all, aren’t going to support it, but secondly won’t let background checks against rapists, people who have committed manslaughter in the past, people with mental illness, dangerous mental illness —
I can’t believe those Republicans are going to allow the entire Republican Party to be the party that basically put rapists’ rights over parents’ rights to keep their kids safe when they go to school.” [emphasis mine]

Has Scarborough ever interviewed anyone who used a gun to stop a rapist or home intruder? What would he say to 18 year old Sarah McKinley of Oklahoma City who used a shotgun to defend herself and her infant son from a pair of intruders? What would he say to 12 year old Kendra St. Clair of Oklahoma who used her mom’s Glock to shoot a home intruder? What would Scarborough say to the 15 year old boy in Houston who used his dad’s AR-15 to defend himself and his 13 year old sister from a pair of intruders?
Scarborough is also clueless concerning the real reason Obama and the Democrats are pushing universal background checks and gun registration along with all of the other anti-gun legislation. Right now, they realize that they have no clue who has how many guns. That’s a problem for a socialist takeover of the country. They need the universal background checks and registration in order to know where to go to confiscate our guns. It’s happened before in other countries and could happen here the way things are going.
