A Marine Corps veteran has written a scathing open letter to the Islamic state and made it absolutely clear how he feels about them. It’s going viral, and it’s easy to see why. This message was a response to the beheading of journalist James Foley.
This powerful response was reportedly written by Nick Powers, a Marine vet, who served in Iraq. The main point is you really don’t want to pick a fight with the United States, because if you do, the bear will awaken, and all of the power we possess will come raining down on you, and we will crush you in days:

“As I sit here constantly hearing and watching you execute innocent men, women and children in the Middle East I chuckle. Why do I chuckle you may ask? Well let me explain something to you cowardice fools who think you are so tough behind all your propaganda videos. You are scaring a population that doesn’t know how to fight, you’re bullying the weak.
You say Islam is the religion of peace, but since when does terrorizing the innocent and beheading men, women and children constitute peace? WTF? But keep in mind, what did Saddam’s troops do when we came rolling into town? They surrendered, twice… So all your empty threats of coming to America and raising your flag over the White House amuse me more than any of you sick, sadistic bastards could ever imagine or comprehend.

In 2012 there was about 21.2 million veterans in the United States. Do you understand what that means? Let me break it down for you. That means there are literally millions of disgruntled, dysfunctional, pissed off veterans who have been dealing with years of abuse from their government stabbing them in the backs and having to watch their friends die because you Islamic extremist idiots can’t seem to act like normal human beings and stop terrorism and the violence.
It’s one thing to take over an Islamic state, but if my memory serves me correctly, I’m pretty sure we plowed through Fallujah in 4 days. Better yet, it took us about month to control your entire country. At this point, with 13+ years of war under our belts, how long do you think it would take us to do it all over again? I’ll let you draw your own conclusions on that one. Do you really think you stand a chance on US soil? Do you really think it would be smart to poke that bear? Remember, never bite the hand that feeds you.Remember we are armed to the teeth in the US and I can promise you this… the Geneva Conventions will not apply to you. You attack us and there will be no mercy. We will bring the righteous hand of God down upon you and crush you. The ball is in your court now ISIS. We are more than ready to arrange your so called “meeting” with your 72 virgins and send you to your “prophet” Mohamed.”
UPDATE: To all who read this and assume this is against all Muslims, I am sorry you are too blind to read, this isn’t against Muslims in general. If you feel otherwise I suggest you look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself one question, am I an extremist? You say Islam is the religion of peace, since when does terrorizing the innocent (beheading women and children) mean peace? This is directed at all extremists, if this offends/makes you angry or you think I am racist you are are probably an extremist…

While this is unlikely to impact ISIS in any way, it’s a reminder of a basic truth. Don’t pick a fight with America, if you do there will be serious consequences. Even Obama could not resist responding to a major attack on U.S. soil, or U.S. interests anywhere in the world.

Emboldened by the alleged murder of American journalist James Foley, threats by the terror group ISIS against the United States have reached fever pitch.

But the ramped-up rhetoric isn’t affecting one former US marine, who is reminding the Islamic extremists that America is filled with 21.2 million “pissed off veterans who have been dealing with years of abuse from government stabbing them in the backs.”
The Facebook post, penned by Iraq war veteran Nick Powers, has gone viral under the hashtag #AmessageFromtheUStoISIS, along with a photo of marines posing around a sign that reads, “72 virgin dating service apply here.”

To all you ignorant Islamic extremist f***s. As I sit here watching you execute women, children and men in the Middle East I chuckle. Why do I chuckle you may ask? UPDATE: Powers later appeared on Fox News to elaborate on his statements, where he claimed the only way to stop ISIS was for the U.S. to put “boots on the ground.”
“You can bomb whatever you want, but without boots on the ground, you’re never going to fully accomplish any kind of mission militarily,” Powers said.
Not so fast.
As Paul Joseph Watson noted in his report from yesterday, there are numerous reasons we should view the purported beheading video with suspicion, not the least of which is the fact that it has been mysteriously “scrubbed” from Youtube, when multiple other gruesome terrorist beheading videos still exist and can be readily accessed.

Questionable Foley Beheading Video Results in More Tyranny

Less than a week after a highly suspicious video many are dismissing as a fake surfaced the British government is announcing plans to implement more tyranny.



The video, described as too graphic for Youtube and Twitter, does not show the beheading of photojournalist James Foley by ISIS. Despite this, the corporate media and the governments of the United States and the United Kingdom characterize the video as a grotesque snuff film deserving a violent military response and the violation of Syria’s national sovereignty.

From the Irish Times today:

Home secretary Theresa May said she was preparing new laws to tackle Islamist militants at home and to stop them going abroad to fight, adding that Britain faced a long struggle against a “deadly extremist ideology”.
We will be engaged in this struggle for many years, probably decades. We must give ourselves all the legal powers we need to prevail,” May wrote in the Daily Telegraph newspaper.

While details are yet to be confirmed, Ms May said the new powers would be designed to restrict the militants’ behavior, ban involvement in groups preaching violence and require prisons, broadcasters, schools and universities to take a greater role in combating the radicalization of Muslims.

In other words, the British government will decide what is appropriate behavior, what groups Britons may join, what can be broadcast over the media and discussed in schools and universities.

The proposed law will augment Britain’s Section 44 Terrorism Act. It allows police to decide who is a terrorist and grants them the authority to search and detain citizens. The law is used on a regular basis against peaceful and lawful protesters. Britain has enacted a number of successively restrictive laws. In 2000, before the 9/11 attacks in America and the July, 2005 attacks in London, the UK passed the Terrorism Act 2000 which makes it an offense to collect or possess information likely to be used by a terrorist. The Terrorism Act 2006 makes it an offense to “glorify” terrorism.
The UK has used a D-Notice system for over a hundred years. The notices are used to censor the press on the grounds of national security. D-Notices are routinely used for political reasons. For instance, in October, the British Prime Minister threatened to use D-Notices against newspapers that did not show the appropriate degree of “social responsibility” in reporting on the NSA and its British counterpart, the Government Communications Headquarters, GCHQ for short.

The UK is merely the first country to exploit the alleged beheading of James Foley for domestic political purposes. Others, including the United States, will undoubtedly follow suit. The U.S. is using the questionable incident to announce it will soon begin military operations against ISIS in Syria.
On Saturday a former Toronto Sun journalist, Eric Margolis, questioned the Foley incident.
“Was Foley’s head really cut off? Hard to tell. We have been fed so much fake government war propaganda in recent decades – from Kuwaiti babies thrown from incubators to Saddam’s hidden nukes – that we must be very cautious,” Margolis writes.
The journalist asks if “the orchestrated outrage over Foley [is a] media prelude to direct US intervention in Syria where the jihadists backed by Washington are losing. It’s all very confusing. In Iraq, ISIS are demon terrorists. But across the border in Syria, they are on our side, fighting against the ‘terrorist’ regime of Basher Assad.”
Margolis’ former colleagues, however, are dutifully pushing the government narrative that Foley was in fact beheaded, despite a nearly complete lack of evidence, and paving the way for yet another U.S. military intervention in the Middle East.

For President Barack Obama the decision to send in the Night Stalkers was an agonising one. The audacious bin Laden raid in Pakistan had been a success but also preying on his mind was the failed 1980 Delta Force operation to rescue American hostages in Tehran. Anthony Shaffer, a former lieutenant-colonel in US military intelligence who worked on covert operations, said: “I’m told it was almost a 30-day delay from when they said they wanted to go to when he finally gave the green light. They were ready to go in June to grab the guy [Foley] and they weren’t permitted.”
