    Water rule open houses slated
The rule sets limits for new exempt wells in rural areas.
By Andy Porter of the Union-Bulletin

Homeowners, real estate agents, builders and others concerned about a new water rule can quiz experts and regulators on the topic this week at a pair of open houses.

Hosted by the state Department of Ecology, the meetings will address concerns and details of the Instream Flow Rule, which went into effect this month.

The open houses will be held starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at Walla Walla Community College.

One of the new rule's major changes is restrictions for new exempt wells in rural areas zoned for one or more residences per 10 acres.

The restrictions cut back water drawn from exempt wells in the shallow aquifer from 5,000 gallons per day to 1,250 gallons per day. Another requirement bans outdoor use of water, such as irrigation, from May through November unless withdrawals are compensated from another source.

The new rule does not affect people with existing water rights, those who are able to obtain a water rights transfer or those who can drill into the deep basalt aquifer.

To help homeowners obtain water to mitigate withdrawals for outdoor use, Ecology officials have set up a state mitigation plan.

Another requirement is that new exempt well users in the high density areas must install a meter to record their water use.

The aim of the new regulations is to prevent further degradation of stream-flow levels in the river basin, which includes the Walla Walla and Touchet rivers as well as the Mill Creek system.

In a release, Bill Neve, Ecology's regional watermaster said ``we've tried to strike a balance between allowing water for new growth and protecting instream resources with this new rule.''

    WHEN AND WHERE

The open houses on the new Instream Flow Rule for the Walla Walla River basin will be held starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at room 185 in the Walla Walla Community College conference center, 500 Tausick Way.

I may not post like I used to (cannot keep up) but I post what I think is important because the illegal alien invasion is just the tip of the iceberg and I feel is a distraction on what the elites are REALLY up to! So if I duplicate post, I am sorry. I do have a job and family to take care of (sorry got a message about duplicate posting). Getting information out is of the utmost importance to me and I just do not have the time that I used to!

Thanks guys! It is to me of the utmost imperative to put out information that the MSM will not give! How can we prepare without knowledge? What do I feel? I feel we are in for hard and I mean HARD times ahead. Nothing that any of us have ever experienced. Those that lived through the crash and depression are dying out so those that want to keep us in the dark feel the time is right to bring this on again. I will say this. There are to many dots that connect if you use your God given brain. I am not a church goer, but I have been thinking about things a lot from my younger days. I think the attack on Christianity started a long time ago. I remember people going around talking about christianity (this was the hippy days). We called them Jesus Freaks. I think this was the prelude to the attack on christianity that we are seeing today. We were to young to understand just like our kids today do not understand as they are being brainwashed. At least those that grew up in the 60's and 70's still have a brain in their heads! The brainwashing was just starting.

Bottom line here is we have been conditioned to accept anything that our elected officials tell us. When prayer was in school we did not have the crime we are having today and that is a fact! All I am saying is keep your eyes open and be an otter! Otters are naturally curious. That can be a good trait!

I have had the exact same feeling for a while now and I agree it will be like NOTHING we've ever been through.I don't mean to be such a downer but I do believe that it is good to hope for the best and plan for the worst.
    Thanks again for the post.

I agree. Too many things that are happening do not add up.
We are not being let in on events and actions that are being taken.

Our economy is a wreck, our countries debt is unbelievable, we owe everybody, no wonder our dollar is not "the" standard anymore or is, with less paid attention to it. We have the "big spenders" in Congress willingly mortgaging the house to the lowest bidder it seems. You want pigs to fly, fine, we'll finance a study, how much do u need? 2 million, not a problem.......give me a break. We are in every other countries face, it seems, making demands when we hand out the hand-outs.
We have lost respect from nations by some the actions coming out of Washington. We citizens no longer trust our government having been lied to so often and for so long.

Our civil liberties are slowly being eroded. We have our government spying on citizens, expanded police powers, all in the name of terrorism. Our own government failed us in that, just like they did with Pearl Harbor. History is full of lessons. We just never seem to learn or catch on. Oh wait, we have terrorists ready to kill us and destroy America, but our borders are open? I wonder why?

Our government barely heeds its citizens. Our children are brainwashed in school......I mean think about, do you really think a child in pre-school or kindergarden is thinking of smoking? I don't. Yet at those young ages do you really think they have any idea about smoking? I don't. Yet they come home and if they see someone smoking, right away its no good for you, you are going to die......

Our kids no longer recite the pledge of allegiance in school. This affects your national identity as well as your loyalty, I think anyhow. How are kids going to learn to identify with their national ID by reading books and stories....there has to something tangible to make it real.

Our laws are disobeyed, both by illegals entering our country, but also by us everyday average citizen....its just little things, you know, not stopping at a stop sign, kind've slipping thru. After all we are too busy, and just don't have the time to make that full stop, what's going to happen?

We are greedy beyond, I can't think of a good enough word..we seem to have lost our perspective on material things as well as other fundamental things in life. Respect, courtesy, kindness. We are too turned onto the ME thing. Me, its what is important to ME, not you or any other.

Everythings out of proportion. There is no rhyme or reason to what's occurring, seriously. Its scary all right.

The environmentalists want this for everyone who uses a well. Then if you go over the alloted amount of water, you get charged a fee for suing water out of a well you paid to have dug.

In Asheville, there is a rain tax, based on the size of your building. They charge you for the amount of rain water that runs off your building. I don't think they give a discount when it does not rain.

The environmentalists do not complain about how many millions for illegals are suing up our resources or throwing grabae in the desert as they enter the US illegally.
