Backed by the U.S.: Israel Unleashes a Massacre in Gaza

"And there are indications that this horrific situation may get even worse. There are also reports of Israeli drones and aircraft penetrating Lebanese airspace, perhaps in preparation for an attack. All this could even set off a larger war in the region, with even much greater suffering for the people in the region."

Backed by the U.S.: Israel Unleashes a Massacre in Gaza

    by Larry Everest

    Global Research, January 2, 2009

Beginning mid-day on Saturday, December 27, waves of U.S.-supplied Israeli warplanes suddenly appeared over the skies of the Palestinian territory of Gaza in broad daylight and unleashed a deadly barrage of bomb and missile attacks that continue as we go to press. This could not be taking place without the approval of the U.S., for whom Israel serves as an enforcer in the Middle East. The U.S.-supplied Israeli F-16 warplanes and Apache helicopters attacked all of Gaza’s main towns, including Gaza City, Khan Younis and Rafah, striking more than 210 targets in the first 24 hours of what Israel threatens will be “war to the bitter end.â€

The New York times along the LA times, Chicago Tribune and other publications are far left America hating Al Jazeera media partners who are terrorist supporters. What no one seems to mention is Hamas (Gaza Hamas led by former Prime Minister Ismael Haneyeh even though Kaleel Mushaaf is the leader of Hamas) instigated the latest round of hostilities when they broke the latest cease fire by indiscriminately firing rockets on Israel aided and abetted by Iran (Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) and Syria (Bashar Assad) who are supplying Ktushya rockets. Hamas is using schools, hospitals and other civilian institutions to launch their attacks against Israel also using civilians as shields as did Saddam Hussein. Hezbollah also aided by both may initiate hostilities too. Another terrorist organization threatening a nation only protecting it's sovereignty.

    Israel

Continues to steal land and expand settlements in the west bank. This was supposed to have stopped and the settlements removed on the ORIGINAL road map to peace.

I don't have much pity for Palestinians. Israel gave them that little strip of land to pacify them and create peace (which was a HUGE mistake) and none of it did any good whatsoever. These people are blood thirsty and have fired rockets at Isreal on a regular basis.

Israel waited about a year, did it's homework and is now wiping out Hamas leaders in some very key locations. This whole thing has me more concerned by the day-especially with that nut in Iran being invlolved (remember the "rotting corpse" comment?)
I don't like whats going on, but I don't blame Israel.

Palestinians have done this to the Israeli for years. They get on busses and walk into shopping malls and blow themselves up and they kill civilians all the time, and without legitimate targets.

The Israeli have the best and I mean the best intelegence agency in the World, the Mossad. They don't make mistakes and they don't miss their target. You want to hang out with terrorists, then you are going to die like one. Simple as that.

I suggest everyone read the Bible and the boundaries outlined for Isreal and it begins at the Jordan River. The West Bank/Gaza Stip is inside of that boundary. Also, Isreal is backed up against the ocean and they are not going to allow the Palestinians push them off into it.

I don't either. It would almost be like if we handed back the land to Mexico, we bought and paid for, to end this disaster and it was never enough because now the entire west was theirs and then the whole country and then why not go for the whole continent. There comes a time when enough is enough and all the good will and bargaining and dealing and truces does no good. Plus, I have very little respect for any group who puts women and children and innocent people in harms way and then uses their deaths as an excuse to gain sympathy from others when they could care less either. Just sounds so awful but they knew exactly what they were doing......hiding behind moms skirt tails and the babies bottles......the biggest cowards of all in my opinion.

Exactly, I don't know if the other relegions have their turf written in their Holy books so specifically. But this one does and I don't blame them for protecting it.

Yes, this was the reason I put "HUGE mistake" in my above comment. That land was given to them by God Himself and in the name of peace Isreal to satiate Palestinians and they got bombed over and over again for the favor.
I have some very strong opinions about Hamas and Palestinians in general, but I can't post it here.

Gee, if there were NO religion this wouldn't even be a problem. How ironic that the same books people believe will save them, is actually going to be the demise of the planet. Just a shame most people don't see it........YET. Can anyone see it? God is calling you..........

There is a lot of history here that I can't even put into perspective tonight.

No, this is not all about religion. This is about history. Pretty much, Palestine is not on the West Bank, nor Gaza and the truth be told they don't have a country. They have occupied areas in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. The Roman Empire decided that Israel was part of a territory they called Palestine. They grouped the Jews, Christians and Muslims together. The Koran in the words of Mohamad specifically gives instructions about how to treat the Jews, especially those that will not convert. Read the Cow.

The Palestinians got all upset when boundaries of the Israeli state were decided and the Palestinians suddenly claimed to be the descendants of the Canaanites and that Israel belongs to them. Not to mention the Temple Mount, where the Romans defiled the Jewish Temple by slaughtering a pig on it and the Muslims stuck a Mosque on top of it and claimed it as their own.

Over 80 years of bitching about the land, Israel gave up part of their territory to them and the Palestinians are still terrorizing Israel. Palestinians are not good neighbors to the Israeli and in my opinion, and often the aggressors and instigators. Arafat's legecy lives on.

Why didn't the Palestinians deal with the terrorist themselves?

Israel is doing the same thing they did to Lebanon. They harbored terrorists and Israel dealt with it. End of problem.

For those that think Palestine is unarmed, they are not since the Russians have provided them arms for years.
