RoboCop? No, just the news in 2013
You can't make this stuff up

Privacy? Sanity? What's that?
I don't know who these folks are, but they're good at squeezing a lot of news into a short period of time without showboating and hysteria.

You can find out more about them here: http://nextnewsnetwork.com

My reference to 'RoboCop" is the movie by that name that came out in 1987.

If you've never seen it, I strongly recommend you get it and watch it. If you haven't seen it in a while, check it out again.

I don't know how directory Paul Verhoeven and writers Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner did it, but in 1987 they pretty much painted the picture of what life would be like 25 years later, today.

One of the story devices they used was news broadcasts which covered stories that at the time (1987) seemed completely over the top and unthinkable.

Now we routinely see stuff far more crazy on the news every day. If you know RoboCop, you know what I'm talking about.

If you've seen the original RoboCpp (1987)
you'll remember their over-the-top
newscasts that helped move the plot
along.

They seemed ridiculous.

Here's the scary thing....

Today's real news is far crazier than anything
cooked up in that science fiction movie
