Today, David Petraeus resigned from the CIA citing marital infidelity as the reason. Paula Broadwell, a West Point graduate and 15 year “intelligence agent” with highest security clearances is cited by most publications and said to be under FBI investigation for attempting to “hack” General Petraeus’ email accounts.

Stranger still and, related or not, John McCain was seen with a high ranking member of America’s National Socialist Movement. Proof? We have proof.

From the New York Times:

To Harry Hughes, regional director of the National Socialist Movement, the largest neo-Nazi group in the United States, Mr. Ready was “a patriot” — “a sincere and compassionate man,” he said in a telephone interview.

Mr. Ready had been a member of the movement, Mr. Hughes said, but resigned two years ago to found the U.S. Border Guard, an armed group that conducted expeditions in the Arizona desert to search for migrants and drug smugglers.

Mr. Hughes said he had joined one of those expeditions. “We’d come across people who have been out in the desert for eight or nine days, we’d give them water and then we’d notify the Border Patrol,” Mr. Hughes said.

Frankly, Harry Hughes is not an awful person and his defense of J.T. Ready is approriate. We have his autopsy records along with those of Sheriff Larry Deaver, both confirm murder and not suicide or accidental death. Ready was exactly as described by Hughes, according to those close to him.

Just before the election, Vice Admiral Gaoulette was “perp walked” off the deck of the USS Stennis, 20 miles off the coast of Iran. Goulette was commander of nearly a third of the naval forces in the Persian Gulf.

Goulette has neither been seen nor heard from since his removal from the region under force for “unfitness for command.”

Across the military, people are disappearing, quick retirements or simply “gone to lunch, don’t know if I am coming back.”

Something is very very wrong and it isn’t “Benghazi” and the “Fox News fairy tale” that has President Obama ordering the murder of an American diplomat. They haven’t lost their minds, they never had minds to begin with.

Petraeous being sworn in as CIA chief

First of all, we aren’t ready to throw Petraeus to the wolves.

He came to the CIA in handcuffs, historically tied to the phony war on terror, his role in the “Sunni Awakening” which paid off Baathist terrorists who are now tearing Iraq apart.

And then there was his job in Afghanistan, having to clean up the mess made by Stanley McChrystal, who, with Richard Hollbrooke, know more about heroin than Arnold Rothstein ever did.

It is obvious that Petraeus was compromised by a foreign power or found to be involved in something so serious that he would destroy his career and reputation in writing rather than some other consequence, typically “suiciding” or arrest.

We share friends and all I know of Petraeus makes this, the most obvious conclusions, very difficult to believe. He is a man of humor and insight though very ambitious.

Who could have “set up” the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency?

PAULA?


Perhaps there is a real story though so unlikely that no one will ever believe it, that two West Point graduates, both with strong backgrounds in overachievement, would destroy each other’s lives over a “spat” of some kind.

It is possible…however.

Petraeus Resigns from CIA, Will Not Testify Before Congress

This seems like an awful big shoe-drop.

CIA Director David Petraeus is resigning over an extramarital affair, according to a letter submitted to CIA staff.

Press Secretary Jay Carney confirmed the news in a White House press briefing Friday afternoon.

NBC is reporting that Mike Morell, the deputy CIA director and a long time CIA officer, will likely be offered the job as acting director.

Petraeus was scheduled to testify behind closed doors on the events in Benghazi, Libya on Wednesday. Reportedly, now, he will not.

I don’t know why his resignation would preclude him from testifying, but it apparently will, so that more essential information about how our fellow Americans dies and how the administration handled the obvious terrorist attack will be lost to us.

Was CIA Director Petraeus Set Up ‘Godfather Style’?


I’m a little suspicious of the sudden resignation of David Petraeus as CIA director based on an extra-marital affair he had. The resignation seems very well timed. This was certainly known before the election. It was Petraeus who gave what some consider to have been “misleading” testimony when he appeared before the House Intelligence Committee on September 14 about the Benghazi attack. Petraeus claimed that the attack was the result of an anti-Islam YouTube video despite an abundance of intelligence information that pointed to a preplanned terrorist assault on the anniversary of 9/11.

It gets even more interesting as The Weekly Standard reports the following:

“Obama administration officials have told reporters that Petraeus’s resignation means he will not testify before congressional oversight committees next week, as planned. This will not sit well with Republicans, who believe Petraeus is in a unique position to shed light on the intelligence on Benghazi before the attack, the decision-making during the attack and the misleading stories told after it.”

Why now and why no testimony? As I said, I’m suspicious.
I’m reminded of the film Godfather II. Pat Geary (played by G. D. Spradlin) is a senator from Nevada who’s almost as corrupt as Michael Corleone. Michael uses the senator’s moral failings to his advantage.

At the Corleone’s son’s First Communion celebration, the senator and his wife are in attendance. The senator accepts a generous donation from the Corleones for the local college in memory of Vito Corleone, Michael’s father and the original Godfather.

Soon after, the senator is in Michael’s private office. Senator Geary wants Michael to pay a bribe in return for a disputed gaming license at one of the casinos in Las Vegas. He tells Michael that he intends to “squeeze” the Corleone family for all he can get. He gives Michael a day to respond to his offer. As Geary is about to leave, Michael tells Geary that he is ready with his answer. He tells the senator that he wants the license for free and that he is to pay the $20,000 licensing fee out of his own pocket. Geary sneers and then leaves figuring he has Michael over a barrel.

It’s at this point that the Godfather goes into action in order to make it impossible for Senator Geary to oppose anything Michael will do:

Some time later, Geary spends the night with a prostitute in a brothel run by Michael’s brother Fredo in the Nevada desert. Having suffered from an alcoholic blackout, he awakens in a bed covered in blood next to [a] woman, who is dead. Corleone family consigliere Tom Hagen arrives on the scene and tells a terrified Geary that since the woman has no family, the matter can be safely covered up. Hagen promises Geary, “All that will be left is our friendship.” It is implied that the Corleones have engineered [the] situation, perhaps through drugging Geary. . . . Subsequently, it appears that the Corleones’ “help” with the incident (in other words, blackmail) sways Geary to the Corleone family’s side.

Was the Petraeus resignation “Godfather politics” in action? The FBI discovered the relationship by monitoring Petraeus’ email on what was said to be “an unrelated matter.” The information about the emails came from “an official who is not authorized to comment publicly on the matter.” I find all of this very odd. Did Obama and Co. use this information to blackmail General Petraeus? Is there more to the story that Petraeus wants kept secret?

Again, I guess I’m just a little suspicious, especially about the part that he won’t be testifying about Benghazi.

Petraeus agrees to testify on Libya before congressional committees

Former CIA Director David Petraeus has agreed to testify about the Libya terror attack before the House and Senate intelligence committees, Fox News has learned.
Petraeus had originally been scheduled to testify this Thursday on the burgeoning controversy over the deadly Sept. 11 attack. That appearance was scuttled, though, after the director abruptly resigned over an extramarital affair.
The resignation has since expanded into a sprawling scandal that now includes allegations that Gen. John Allen, the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, exchanged “inappropriate” and sexually charged emails with Jill Kelley, a Florida socialite linked to the Petraeus case. The rapid developments in the case have all but obscured what until last week was an intense debate on Capitol Hill and beyond over the Benghazi terror attack.
After Petraeus’ resignation, lawmakers complained that the scandal was no reason they shouldn’t hear from the man at the helm of the CIA when CIA operatives came under attack alongside State Department employees in Benghazi last month.

Personally I think if Petraeus takes the fall he deserves what he gets, he must be weak and stupid if he thinks cheating on his wife was okay and he wasn't set up.
