Secretary Kerry To Shift State Department’s Focus To Global Warming

Secretary Kerry To Shift State Department’s Focus To Global Warming

    JANUARY 3, 2014 4:13 PM 0 COMMENTS VIEWS: 13

It looks like the State Department, under the headship of the former Senator John Kerry, instead of negotiating with other world leaders to facilitate trade agreements and figure out how to deal with bad guy terrorists and hopefully keep the peace with our neighbor nations, will now have the goal of brokering a legally binding climate treaty that will supplant United States law, oh yea, and that little thing called the Constitution as well.
Ironically, Kerry made his statements on his department focusing more on climate change (and less of course on stuff that matters) from the Mekong Delta in Vietnam when he had 2 tours of duty during the Vietnam War. In effect, Kerry is declaring war on a new enemy in Vietnam this time around. It isn't the Viet Cong, it is of course the boogeyman of climate change.
There goes one of those other things Barack Obama wanted to fundamentally change about the United States of America. As the State Department turns it's focus to the propaganda of global warming, to climate change, to whatever they will call it when the planet does exactly the opposite of what they predict, instead of focusing on making the world a safer place, America takes one more step towards it's lessening influence in on the world stage.
    Thanks Barack Obama.
Read more below from the New York Times:
As a young naval officer in Vietnam, John Kerry commanded a Swift boat up the dangerous rivers of the Mekong Delta. But when he returned there last month as secretary of state for the first time since 1969, he spoke not of past firefights but of climate change.
“Decades ago, on these very waters, I was one of many who witnessed the difficult period in our shared history,” Mr. Kerry told students gathered on the banks of the Cai Nuoc River. He drew a connection from the Mekong Delta’s troubled past to its imperiled future. “This is one of the two or three most potentially impacted areas in the world with respect to the effects of climate change,” he said.
In his first year as secretary of state, Mr. Kerry joined with the Russians to push Syria to turn over its chemical weapons, persuaded the Israelis and Palestinians to resume direct peace talks and played the closing role in the interim agreement on nuclear weapons with Iran. But while the public’s attention has been on his diplomacy in the Middle East, behind the scenes at the State Department Mr. Kerry has initiated a systemic, top-down push to create an agencywide focus on global warming.
His goal is to become the lead broker of a global, legally binding climate treaty in 2015 that will commit the United States and other nations to historic reductions in fossil fuel pollution.
