Senate Sends First Amendment Destruction to Floor Vote

Senate Sends First Amendment Destruction to Floor Vote

in News, Politics, Videos / by Brandon Walker / on July 11, 2014 at 9:57 pm /

With a fully partisan vote (10-8), the Senate voted to send a partial destruction of the First Amendment to the Senate floor.
If you listen to Senator Cruz, he warned that the Senate was voting to partially repeal the First Amendment. He said this vote could “muzzle” pastors in the pulpit and shut down outside groups, while funding the pocketbooks and campaign contributions of politicians.

Cruz was attacked by the leftist that said he was crazy.
He was attacked by Senator Reid, claiming he was just upset that they were trying to shut off a source of income. In fact, Reid committed perjury by saying he didn’t have billionaire backers despite his own campaign contributor going to jail for campaign money laundering.

On July 10, 2014, they voted to send an Amendment to the Constitution under the guise of “campaign finance reform” to the Senate Floor for vote. Never mind that the Citizen’s United case was about funding for a movie.
Here is the list of the 46 sponsors of this bill.

You will notice two Independents on this list; Angus King who was a member of the Democrat Socialist Party and says flat out he “has been a Democrat his whole life,” and Bernie Sanders who was also a self proclaimed Socialist and ran Independent, although he is a former member of the Democrat Socialist Party. The Democrat Socialist Party was formerly known as the Communist Party USA.
Make no mistake, SJ19 is not about campaign refinance. It is about limiting free speech for anyone that OPPOSES THEM!
To get to the heart of this matter, you need to really take a look at what is at stake. It is not only Cruz that opposes this bill, but people are coming to the aid of the Democrats and Socialist Party members that sell this as campaign reform. To figure out what this is all about, you have to go to the heart of the debate.
Prior to the vote, Senator Roberts, Senator Cruz, Senator Lee, Senator Coburn, and other members testified to what these guys are actually trying to accomplish under the guise of “campaign finance reform.” It doesn’t silence them, but it silences their critics! Senator Robert’s big fancy chart that can not be seen in his testimony was actually one slide: the First Amendment.

Despite evidence to the contrary, the committee voted 10-8 on a fully partisan vote to violate the First Amendment.
So what is so important about the Supreme Court cases they want to throw out with this 28th Amendment? We have to go back in time a minute to answer that question.
Limiting hard money donated directly to the DNC and RNC was never prohibited. That meant you could give money to either party in power with no reservations. Getting rid of Citizens United v Federal Election Commission and McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission does not change that. It doesn’t stop George Soros and others from giving billions to the Democrat National Convention or Michael Moore producing films like Ferinheit 9/11. Why do you think in 1971 they allowed you to list donations to the President on your federal income tax return?
If you get rid of these two Supreme Court decisions, it does get rid of anyone wishing to oppose who is in charge in the Senate, the White House, and the House of Representatives.
You really need to look at Citizens United v FEC and McCutcheon v FEC and stop listening to the campaign rhetoric to see exactly what is at stake. These two landmark rulings eliminated the possibility of Congress and the President trying to rule without challenge!
These two rulings put a stop to two attempts by Congress to infringe on the First Amendment! They don’t acknowledge this is what they are after. The text of SJ19 admits to limiting contributions of opposing candidates, not those already in power!
The proposal, sponsored by Senator Tom Udall (D-NM), is intended to reverse recent Supreme Court rulings that have deregulated the campaign finance system, such as Citizens United and McCutcheon v. FEC.
This “deregulation” they talk about was overturning the Federal Election Campaign Act which was born in 1971, amended in 1974, and again amended in 1979. It gives authorization of Soft Money to the elite in power, while limiting contributions of those running against them. They also threw out the 2002 McCain-Fiengold Act which gave those in power INCREASED soft money, allowed campaign contributions from foreign resources (against the Constitution), and kept ads that attacked those in power off the air.
Citizens United was about a movie against Hillary Clinton, while the Democrats promoted the Michael Moore film! Ferienhiet 9/11 attacked George Bush, but they couldn’t allow a movie attacking Hillary Clinton. Think about that for a moment, because that is exactly what Citizens United is about!
While it allows the MSM to play ads from those in power, it strictly limits organizations like Mad World News, Ministers, Pastors, Joe Public, Independent Parties, rights of assembly, rights of egress, and third parties from voicing criticism of those in power.
Make no mistake who is pulling the strings on this one. During a 2012 fundraiser, President Obama said he would be in a “strong position” to amend the Constitution as he would like.
“Now, I taught constitutional law. I don’t tinker with the Constitution lightly. But I think this is important enough that citizens have to get mobilized around this issue, and this will probably be a multiyear effort,” Obama said, according to an excerpt from Big Money by journalist Ken Vogel, obtained by Mother Jones.
“After my reelection, my sense is that I may be in a very strong position to do it,” Obama continued. ~The Hill
He then endorsed passing SJ19 and reversing the Citizens United Supreme Court Ruling later that year. They have been at this since 2012.
You need to ask yourself two questions, and you need to do it soon.

    1. Why is this so important over all the other issues facing this country to give them unlimited spending power to stay in control while silencing critics?
    2. Why are they spending all this money to try to prove how evil the Koch Brothers are while pocketing billions from the likes of George Soros, lobbyists, and the unions.

I leave you with this, a video of why we can’t allow them to amend the Constitution to silence their critics. It shows just how “evil” this organization Reid is obsessed with really is.

On a side note, the” evil” Koch Brothers donated $25 million to the United Negro College Fund.
