A confessed radical Islamist by the name of Ali Muhammad Brown has committed murders that he claims are an act of “vengeance” against the United States.
In a string of murders ranging from Oregon to New Jersey, the suspected killer has declared his jihadist intentions. But this major news story has mainly slipped under the radar.
On June 25th, Brendan Tevlin was stopped at a traffic light by three men. Then, according to the authorities, Ali Muhammad Brown pulled out a gun and shot Tevlin eight times. NJ.com reports:
According to court documents filed Wednesday in Washington state, where he is accused of killing three other men, Ali Muhammad Brown said he considered it his mission to murder 19-year-old Brendan Tevlin as an act of “vengeance” for innocent lives lost in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Iran.

“All these lives are taken every single day by America, by this government. So a life for a life,” he told detectives, according to the documents.
When Brown gave his testimony, he plead not guilty to the killing of Tevlin. Brown explained to prosecutors that he never harmed any women, children or the elderly, so it was a “just kill.”
It turned out not to be the only time that Tevlin had killed innocent people – or so police authorities believe. The radical Islamist is suspected of killing three gay people in Seattle, Oregon, whom he allegedly met using a dating service called “Grindr.”
The murders took place on separate occasions: Brown is suspected of killing Leroy Henderson on April 27th; and both Ahmed Said and Dwone Anderson-Young on June 1st.

Brown is being charged with three counts of aggravated murder in Washington for what officials are calling a “bloody crusade” against the United States and its foreign policies. In addition to the gay men targeted by Brown for murder, it is believed that he acted with two teenagers to kill Tevlin in New Jersey.
Even though authorities are calling Tevlin’s death a “random act of violence,” all signs point to this being inspired by jihadist terrorism.
The United States recently refused to label the Boston Marathon bombing an act of terrorism for federal insurance purposes, similarly to how it referred to the Fort Hood shooting as an act of “workplace violence.” All these attacks were carried out by perpetrators who stated openly that they did so in the name of jihad.
