Snake oil RINOs circle wagons to reelect McCain, king RINO
When one compares McCain’s voting record and his stated position on a number of issues, with those who have lined up to support McCain in his bid for reelection, it becomes crystal clear the death grip of progressives is still alive and at work in the Republican Party, and cleverly attempting to keep their man in the Senate.
Listen to the re-invented McCain and his campaign speeches, the new one who is trying to charm concerned Americans, and you would think he deserves to be the leader of the Tea Party movement. But look at his voting record and the positions he has taken, and he represents everything which inspired the birth of the tea party movement!
Let us look at the facts:
McCain, almost with violence, defended granting amnesty to 12-20 million foreign nationals who have invaded our borders! Is it not a primary directive of those who took an oath to support and defend our written Constitution to “repel Invasions“?
McCain was also proud to reach across the aisle to successfully expand the iron fist of the federal government’s unconstitutional federal department of education which progressives use to indoctrinate our nation’s younger generation’s minds and train them to be good little progressives, and educate them to how sweet it is for Billy to have two mommies, rather than teaching them the three Rs and the fundament principles under which our federal Constitution was adopted.
McCain also reached across the aisle to assist progressives with the despotic McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform Act, more appropriately dubbed the incumbent full employment act designed to infringe upon freedom of political speech, and preclude the American people‘s right, and especially right to life groups, from airing political ads which mentioned the name of a member of Congress and their voting record 60 days before an election. What part of shall make no law did McCain not understand?
McCain has also reached across the aisle to assist progressive gun grabbers in their attack on the Tenth Amendment with regard to the people’s right to keep and bear arms, one example being supporting federal legislation making it a crime for a gun owner to travel through a school zone with a firearm, another example being McCain sponsoring an amendment to S. 1805 that would effectively outlaw the private sale of firearms at gun shows.
And what about McCain’s reaching across the aisle to assist progressives plundering our federal treasury with his support of the Stem Cell Research Act of 2007 and its federally-funded research? Were our founding fathers not clear in the specific manner in which Congress may promote the progress of Science? Did they not write in crystal clear language that Congress shall have power:
To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries
What part of by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries did McCain not understand?
In addition to the above mentioned times McCain used his vote to subvert our Constitution, let us not forget he came out in favor of cap and tax and even once stated “I don‘t know how any conservative cannot support cap and trade“, and, McCain also opposed drilling in ANWR.
And, it doesn’t stop here. McCain is also just fine with closing Gitmo, he is against using water-boarding in the interests of our national security, and, he voted for an $850 BILLION bailout for banks and car manufactures, which was filled with pork and special interest earmarks. I thought McLiar was against pork and earmarking? McCain also championed a further plundering our national treasury for $300 BILLION to buy failed mortgages rather than have the free market place work its magic and allow the progressive’s money laundering operation, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to close down.
McCain is also very much in favor of the president exercising line item veto power. But the simple truth is, if line item veto were available to the president, it would undermine the intended and delicate balance of powers our founding fathers wrote into our Constitution and special interest projects and pork barrel spending favored by the president would prevail over projects and pork disfavored by the president. And so, such a power, if allowed to be exercised by the president, would concentrate a very dangerous and blackmailing power in the hands of the President.
Our founding fathers were well aware of this during the Convention of 1787 and intentionally rejected McCain’s idea. For example, in discussing veto power, Benjamin Franklin, on June 4 of the Constitutional Convention, reminds the delegates how the veto power had been exercised by royal governors and why the convention should not grant such power to the president:
'The negative of the governor was constantly made use of to extort money. No good law whatever could be passed without a private bargain with him. An increase of salary or some donation, was always made a condition; till at last, it became the regular practice to have orders in his favor on the treasury presented along with the bills to be signed, so that he might actually receive the former before he should sign the latter. When the Indians were scalping the Western people, and notice of it arrived, the concurrence of the governor in the means of self-defense could not be got, until it was agreed that the people were to fight for the security of his property, whilst he was to have no share of the burdens of taxation.''
The Convention finally did reach a compromise and granted veto power to the president, but only in the limited fashion as detailed in Article 1, Section 7, which preempts the kind of presidential blackmail which line-item veto most assuredly would resurrect if allowed and which McCain supports!
So, why does McCain support concentrating power in the hands of our president? Is this not one of the fundamental goals of the progressive movement? Are we to forget that progressives like Woodrow Wilson “believed that the American Constitution, especially after it had been stretched to bursting point by Lincoln, permitted a strong President to take every power that was needed. He believed that he himself was such a President, and he planned to make himself master of the government“. ___The Price of Union, Herbert Agar, 1950, page 665-66
This issue alone proves McCain is a dangerous domestic enemy of our Constitutionally limited system of government and a traitor to the oath of office he took to support and defend “this Constitutionâ€

03-06-2010, 03:46 PM #3Bottom line is, those who have circled the wagons for the reelection of McCain, who has repeatedly spat on our Constitution, are exposing themselves for the RINO’s they are and showing their own disloyalty to our written Constitution and the documented intentions and beliefs under which it was adopted. Tea Party activists must work to expose these domestic enemies and work to elect only those who are willing to abide by our Constitution’s primary directive when voted into office:
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution

Thanks Johnwk, for a great post. I like the fact that you continually bring the Constitution right up to where it should be....front and center. When the Constitution is used as a measure, it would seem that America is being led by midgets!

If you want McCain to assist you in being absorbed back into Mexico... that's YOUR Problem and no one will stop you.. and as it sits right now he is doing a bang up job of getting you to the point of no return

I am still bitter towards the Florida primaries, open primaries where he surges from obscurity to front runner with the help of cross over voters, one month in advance of the agreed primary date that was ignored so conveniently with such great timing, and a media in a dark room that could not find a light switch to save their worthless lives.... What we should all be concerned about is, the people of the various States have not given their consent via Article V of our Constitution granting power to Congress to tax for, spend on, regulate and legislate into law the available choices concerning their health care needs. And, keep in mind that granting new powers to Congress requires consent of the people by the “Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof“ ___ not a simple majority vote in Congress.
The proposed Affordable Health Care Choices Act is a despotic attack upon our Constitutionally limited system of government and a subjugation of a fundamental guarantee requiring consent of the governed.

In regard to the often asked question about creating a third party, I’m not sure a third party is the answer, but I do know the Republican Party leadership is very much controlled by progressives. Just look at the big named Republicans who have come out in favor of supporting McCain‘s reelection ___ a traitor to his oath of office who has given aid and comfort to the progressive movement ___ and it becomes quite clear the Republican Party leadership is infested with un-American progressives. Oh, they talk a good talk, but their actions expose their support for the ongoing attack upon our Constitution and the expansion of a despotic federal government which McCain has been very much part of as I pointed out in the first post in the thread. My take is, every leader in the Republican Party who gives their support to McCain ought to be viewed as un-American as McCain is when judged by his voting record!
McCain needs to be fired, and when fired and he returns home, needs to be punished for his un-America activities in Congress___ no punishment to be left off the table! It’s time for loyal Americans to take back their country and set an example for those who dare to infiltrate our government an use an office of public trust as a launching pad to subjugate our constitutionally limited system of government.
