ANTIFA Unleashes Hell on Downtown Atlanta As Part of "Night of Rage"

    BY BLUEAPPLES
    SATURDAY, JAN 21, 2023 - 21:43

Despite the origins of ANTIFA being well-documented in the annals of history since the founding of Antifaschisctische Aktion by the Community Party of Germany in the waning days of the Weimar Republic, mainstream media has given its audiences a live broadcast of revisionist history in effort to continually refute the existence of the movement.
While the impetus of the original incarnation of ANTIFA was in direct response to the German Federal Elections in July and November 1932 to stand against the rise of Hitlerian National Socialism, the modern iteration of the organization is comparatively much more aimless in its pursuits. In many ways, the antifascist ideology is merely one of two polarities in the ideological doublethink its followers are under the spell of, as despite the group’s opposition to fascism, it has called for authoritarian mandates imposed by the federal government as well as broadly supporting the private-public cartel created by Operation Warp Speed which effectively created a 21st century version of IG Farben. While a finite mission or endgame from ANTIFA is hard to pinpoint, one of its goals is clear: achieving total mayhem.

    Chaos descends upon downtown Atlanta.

In pursuit of that mission, downtown Atlanta took center stage in ANTIFA’s latest display of destruction. Following an official decree, Friday night marked a “Night of Rage” promised by the Atlanta chapter of ANTIFA. Calls for widespread violence and unrest followed in the wake of a shooting between Georgia State Patrol Troopers and an armed ANTIFA member when law enforcement took to an autonomous zone declared by the radical leftist faction at the site of the future Atlanta Public Safety Training Center on the morning of January 18th. This particular ANTIFA outpost was manned by a faction of the group called “Defend Atlanta Forest.”
According to Georgia Bureau of Investigations director Michael Register, the shooting firefight began one ANTIFA occupier opened up fire on troopers in response to their calls to verbal directive calling him to come out from the tent he was camping in. This led to Georgia State Patrol Troopers exchanging fire, resulting the the fatal shooting of the assailant but not before one of the law enforcement officers was shot.

In the weeks before the raid, several other arrests were made in the same autonomous zone. One of them included the arrest of Francis Carroll, the scion of a millionaire surgeon from Maine who regularly vacationed in proximity to the Bush family compound in Kennebunkport. Another of those arrested was Serena Hertel, a 25 year old charged with criminal trespass, domestic terrorism, aggravated assault, obstruction, and inciting a riot. Before her arrested, Hertel was quoted in a puff-piece published in The Guardian which was sponsored by George Soros' Open Society Foundation in an effort to cast ANTIFA in a sympathetic life. Despite the arrests of Carroll and Hertel, occupants of the autonomous zone dug their heels into the ground, prompting the raid which led to this week's fatal shooting on Wednesday morning.
Following the firefight, four other ANTIFA members were also arrested in the autonomous zone. Matthew Macar, Spencer Bernard Liberto, Sarah Wasilewski, and a John Doe were all arrested and taken to Dekalb County Jail where they have been charged with domestic terrorism and aggravated assault on a public safety officer. In all, the operation cleared approximately 25 campsites from the area encompassing the ANTIFA-declared autonomous zone. The arrests and fatal shooting resulted in calls for immediate retribution from ANTIFA, marking Friday, January 20th as a “Night of Rage” meant to avenge their fallen comrade.
'On Friday, January 20th, wherever you are, you are invited to participate in a night of rage in order to honor the memory of our fallen comrade.'
The protestors, who call themselves forest defenders, are claiming that the police have 'murdered' one of their own and are demanding 'action'.
Eventually, Friday evening came and went without anything to write home about. The supposed “Night of Rage” was calm and uneventful. However, things took a much more violent turn on Saturday night with chaos enveloping downtown Atlanta. “Hundreds of protesters gathered at Underground Atlanta before moving down Peachtree St. in the heart of downtown Atlanta,” according to local news outlet WSB-TV, who went on to say “Shortly after, an Atlanta police cruiser was set on fire and windows of local businesses were busted.”

The violence on Saturday evening escalated when rioters set fire to a police car in downtown Atlanta. Despite the destruction called by ANTIFA members who took to the streets, their nebulous public relations apparatus wasted no time in offering trite company lines designed to obfuscate the reality of the events in order to absolve their peers from any wrongdoing. One ANTIFA adjacent group named “Stop Cop City” released a statement in an effort to deflect away from the riots, saying:
“Destruction of material is fundamentally different from violence. All reported acts appear to be explicitly targeted against the financial backers & goons of the Atlanta Police Foundation, a shady nonprofit that funnels weapons and military gear into our city to wage war on black and brown folks. The police have raided the forest for over 7 months, destroying material by trashing camps and water supplies, threatened the lives of forest defenders and now have murdered one. Protestors are only leveling the playing field & preventing future violence by disabling the economic machine of the Atlanta Police Foundation that seeks to sterilize all life within the Weelaunee Forest.”
The mayhem unfolding in downtown Atlanta prompted Georgia Governor Brian P. Kemp to issue his own response, claiming that criminals responsible for the chaos would be prosecuted to the furthest extent of the law. Kemp’s Attorney General, Chris Carr, took to Twitter to categorize the criminals as rioters in the court of public opinion, calling out media outlets who wrongfully described the assailants as protesters. Earlier in the week, Carr announced his intention to continue to pursue sweeping indictments against ANTIFA members for domestic terrorism charges following the shooting that took place in the Atlanta autonomous zone.

The scale of the violence and destruction inflicted upon downtown Atlanta is yet to be known as the riots have not yet concluded. As of Saturday evening, Atlanta Police announced an active and ongoing investigation into the riots that have already yielded multiple arrests. For the time being, no lethal force has been reported either from rioters or law enforcement tasked with quelling the chaos. Although the initiative to more actively charge rioters under relevant domestic terrorism statutes is a marked change of approach against the group, chances are that ANTIFA will respond to that new strategy with the same old claims that its members were merely “peaceful protestors.”

Six were arrested, and police say they confiscated "explosive" devices, though it's not clear if that's a melodramatic description of fireworks. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens confirmed explosives were used in the attacks. He also said that "many of [those arrested] don't even live in Atlanta or in the State of Georgia, and they don't represent the voices of Atlanta."

Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum said the rioters had bigger ambitions that cops thwarted:
“We can tell now, early in this investigation, this was not the focus tonight just to damage the windows of three buildings and set a police car on fire. The intent was to continue to do harm, and that did not happen.”

Police say that the protestor refused to exit a tent on the wooded property where the facility is to be built, and then shot a Georgia State Patrol trooper with a 9mm Smith & Wesson M&P Shield, prompting other troopers to open fire. The trooper was hit in the abdomen but lived. Activists challenge the police account and characterize the killing as "murder."
The slain protestor was 26-year-old Manuel Esteban Paez Teran, who was known among the "Stop Cop City" movement by the name "Tortuguita." Associated Press helpfully tells us Teran was a "nonbinary person and used they/it pronouns." He was among many others in approximately 25 campsites.

In clearing the occupiers, police say they seized mortar-style fireworks, multiple-edged weapons, pellet rifles, gas masks, and a blow torch. Seven people were arrested and charged with domestic terrorism and criminal trespass. Notably, not a single one of them is a Georgia resident.

Opponents of the future Atlanta Public Safety Training Center have been camped out on the property for months (Andy Ngo via Daily Mail)In the wake of Teran's death, a Twitter account called "Scenes from the Atlanta Forest" called for a "night of rage" on Friday, with "reciprocal violence to be done to the police and their allies." The account is now suspended. Ahead of the protest, organizers distributed flyers that said, "Police killed a protester. Stand up. Fight back."
Opponents say the future Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, which will include a gun range, a mock cityscape and a "burn building," will harm black people and the environment. As Jasmine Burnett, organizing director of Community Movement Builder puts it:
"They're literally going to build a mock version of Atlanta to practice different urban warfare tactics. The purpose of this project is to be able to better surveil, better suppress and better prevent liberation movements that directly address the exploitation [of] black and working-class communities."
The project has garnered bonus outrage points for being situated on land that was previously home to a slave plantation and a prison farm.

Two "Defend the Atlanta Forest" members and a truck they seized from a construction crew and destroyed (Jack Crosbie/Rolling Stone)For months, opponents have camped out in tents and on platforms in trees, and built sloppy barricades on the property. Over that time, they've stolen and damaged a construction vehicle and thrown a Molotov cocktail at police. Wednesday's police raid was meant to put a decidedly tardy end to all that.

Antifa terrorist shot, killed by Georgia police after wounding officer, proving again the violent left is the biggest threat to America

(Natural News) Anything Democrats and their allies in the fakestream media accuse conservatives of being or doing is nothing more than purposeful misdirection because in reality, the left is the real threat to stability in America, as evidenced once again by an incident that took place near Atlanta recently.
For most of 2020, far-left Black Lives Matter and Antifa types burned and looted vast swaths of major cities under the guise of ‘justice’ for George Floyd, a known drug user who resisted arrest in Minneapolis and died as a result of being pinned to the pavement for nearly 10 minutes. True to form, however, it was the police officers who were arrested and punished, charged with various levels of murder. One of them, Derek Chauvin, who pinned Floyd with his knee on a Minneapolis street as his training instructed him to do, will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Of course, after the initial protests, the militant counterrevolutionary left continued rioting, terrorizing the public, and burning and looting for months, all under the same guise of “justice for George.” That was a lie, of course; the groups were used by the Democrat left and their media lapdogs to foist changes on our country that otherwise would never have been possible, like “defunding” police and electing district attorneys financed by George Soros, who let criminals go free.
Now, more than 2 years later, the counterrevolution continues, and with deadly consequences. According to Fox 5, a terrorist Antifa militant was shot and killed by Georgia State Patrol officers after he shot and wounded one of them in ‘protest’ of a new police training facility that is being built outside the city:
The shooting happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday during a “clearing operation” at the site, Georgia Department of Public Safety Colonel Chris Wright said at a press conference at Grady Memorial Hospital. Investigators say law enforcement officers were attempting to get a man out of a tent located on the property.
He did not respond to commands given to him to exit and at some point, Wright said that a protestor fired a shot, hitting the trooper. Officers returned fire, killing the suspect.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Michael Register said a protestor opened fire first.
“An individual, without warning, shot a Georgia State Patrol trooper,” Register said in an announcement. “Other law enforcement personnel returned fire in self-defense and evacuated the trooper to a safe area. The individual who fired upon law enforcement and shot the trooper was killed in the exchange of gunfire.”
The report noted further that the trooper was out of surgery later in the day after being shot in the “pelvic area.” Police went on to round up an additional four ‘protesters’ who were occupying ground where the complex is being built.
The incident comes after left-wing Antifa types have been “protesting” the construction of the “cop city” training site for months, even heaving a Molotov cocktail at officers at one point last summer. In December, a similar sweep by Georgia law enforcement netted five arrests, as Antifa types continue to insist they have a right to be on private property to ‘demonstrate.’ Fox 5 noted: “DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston said at the time that people attacked firefighters and police officers with rocks and weapons as the officers removed barricades blocking some entrances to the site.”
The GBI and other law enforcement agencies “embrace a citizen’s right to protest, but law enforcement can’t stand by while serious criminal acts are being committed that jeopardize the safety of the citizens we’re sworn to protect,” Register said.
People are “illegally occupying” the area and have frequently committed criminal acts that endanger the community. They include beating people, arson, using explosives, and setting booby traps that could seriously harm individuals, the GBI director said.
Once again, it’s far-left Antifa, not conservatives who support Donald Trump, who are the real domestic terrorists.

"Domestic Terrorism" - Atlanta Mayor Disputes Claims That Anti-Police Riots Weren't Violent

    MONDAY, JAN 23, 2023 - 03:00 PM
Authored by Jack Phillips via The Epoch Times,

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens is disputing claims that anti-police protests and rioting on Jan. 21 weren’t violent, saying that charges against six individuals who were arrested will include “domestic terrorism.”

In a Jan. 22 interview with CBS News, the Democratic mayor said that Atlanta’s police department “took swift action within two blocks and brought that situation under control” during the unrest.
“The violence stopped, and those six individuals were arrested,” he said.
“And it should be noted that these individuals were not Atlanta or Georgia residents. Most of them traveled into our city to wreak havoc. And so, we love to support people when they’re doing right, peaceful protest is a part of the American - our freedoms, but when you are violent, we will make sure that you get held accountable.”
Masked activists dressed in all black threw rocks and lit fireworks in front of a skyscraper that houses the Atlanta Police Foundation, shattering large glass windows. They then set fire to a police cruiser, smashed more windows, and vandalized walls with anti-police graffiti as stunned tourists scattered.
The riot followed the death of an environmental activist who was killed by law enforcement this week after officials said the 26-year-old had shot a state trooper. Word of the Jan. 21 protest had been widely circulated ahead of time on social media and among leftist activists, with some passing out flyers that read, “Police killed a protester. Stand up. Fight back.”
The initial hour of the demonstration appeared to have been peaceful as a few activists shared their memories of Manuel “Tortuguita” Paez, describing him as a member of the left-wing “Stop Cop City” community. The speakers said he had undergone a 20-hour medic course in order to serve as a medic for fellow “forest defenders” who had found their home in the DeKalb County woods just outside Atlanta’s city limits.
Paez was killed on Jan. 18 as authorities cleared a small group of protesters from the site of a planned Atlanta-area public safety training center that activists have dubbed “Cop City.” Opponents of the training center have been protesting for more than a year by building platforms in surrounding trees and camping at the site. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said about 25 campsites were located and removed in the raid, and mortar-style fireworks, edged weapons, pellet rifles, gas masks, and a blow torch were recovered.
Authorities said Paez refused to exit a tent on the wooded property, and then shot a Georgia State Patrol trooper with a 9 mm handgun, prompting other troopers to open fire. According to The Associated Press, Paez described himself as a “nonbinary person” who used “they/it pronouns.”
The Georgia Department of Public Safety stated that it won’t disclose the name of the injured trooper because “disclosure would compromise security against criminal or terroristic acts due to retaliation.”
    ‘Domestic Terrorism’

During the interview, Dickens elaborated on the arrests and said the charges will range from “domestic terrorism” to assault.
“It is violent when someone turns to burn down a police car or break out windows or have explosives on them,” he added. “I don’t get into the names. I don’t know all the organizations. I’ll let y’all decide who did it. I just know they’re arrested.”

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens as seen in a file photo. (AP Photo/Ben Gray)
“And if they come into Atlanta, again, to wreak havoc, they will be arrested again,” he said.
Dickens appeared to be pushing back against reports from ABC and CNN on Jan. 21 and Jan. 22, which received backlash online. CNN guest David Peisner, without providing evidence, claimed that the violence that took place was being instigated by police, while a post on Twitter by ABC News described the unrest as a “peaceful protest” while sharing a video of a police car that was on fire.
“Yes, those individuals that are protesting against ‘Cop City,’ as they call it, it’s really a public safety training center,” Dickens told CBS.
“They don’t want to see the very things that they asked for more police training, we can’t train imaginary, we have to do it in a facility that allows for police [and] firefighters in the community to train together.”
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp denounced the violence and thanked the responding officers.
“Violence and unlawful destruction of property are not acts of protest,” the Republican governor wrote.
“They are crimes that will not be tolerated in Georgia and will be prosecuted fully.”
On Jan. 21, Dickens confirmed that explosives were used during the riots.
“You heard that correctly, explosives,” he told reporters.
