A militant Wisconsin group funded heavily by the National Education Association — America’s largest teachers union — unfurled a banner declaring “ALL COPS ARE BASTARDS” at an anti-police protest last week.

The group, Wisconsin Jobs Now, organized the protest on Wednesday, EAGnews.org reports.

Despite the name “Wisconsin Jobs Now,” the small, radical group has spent considerable time and energy in recent months protesting police tactics.

Wisconsin Jobs Now has long targeted the Milwaukee police department. It has now branched some 80 miles west to Madison.
The National Education Association is a major financial donors for Wisconsin Jobs Now. The teachers union — the largest in the United States — gave $125,000 to Wisconsin Jobs Now in 2014 alone.
The other major contributor to the radical group is the Service Employees International Union.

However, the generous $125,000 contribution from the NEA is the only income or revenue Wisconsin Jobs Now reported in 2014, according to a Department of Labor report.

The Wednesday protest occurred a few days after a Madison police officer shot and killed Tony Robinson. Police say Robinson, 19, assaulted the officer. He also pleaded guilty to armed robbery just last year.

The video below captured by Media Trackers shows participants at the Wisconsin Jobs Now-organized protest chanting “Hey-hey, ho-ho, these racist cops have got to go” as they marched with the “ALL COPS ARE BASTARDS” sign.

“This is not just a rally,” rally leader Jennifer Epps-Anderson of Wisconsin Jobs Now assured the assembled crowd. “We are taking direct and corrective action.”

In recent months, Wisconsin Jobs Now has organized, participated in or publicized “die-ins” (where protesters collectively get on the ground and pretend to be dead) as well as an illegal blockade of a major Milwaukee freeway during rush hour on Dec. 19.

The teachers union-funded group has variously declared that the state’s police officers are racists, killers and animals, EAGnews notes.
Last week, National Education Association president Lily Eskelsen García told the Austin American-Statesman that public education spending must be drastically increased at every level. “It’s a lie” whenever anyone observes that there isn’t enough money to increase the wages and benefits of her labor constituency, Eskelsen García declared. She also yearned longingly for a return to the politics of Lyndon B. Johnson.

In November 2014, shortly after the world-historical losses suffered by the Democrats her union heartily supported, Eskelsen García sought to rally support for new laws forcing taxpayers to foot all or part of the college tuition costs for anyone who becomes a teacher.
