Death penalty to be sought for Minutemen leader

ARIVACA, Ariz. (AP) - Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty against three people charged in an Arizona home invasion that left a little girl and her father dead.

Deputy Pima County attorney Kellie Johnson said Thursday that her office filed a notice of intent Monday to seek the death penalty against Shawna Forde, Jason Eugene Bush and Albert Robert Gaxiola.

Ford is the leader of the Minutemen American Defense border watch group. She's accused of planning the May 30 attack to help fund her anti-immigrant operations.

The trio are alleged to have dressed as law enforcement officers and forced their way into a home about 10 miles north of the Mexican border in rural Arivaca, wounding a woman and fatally shooting her husband and their 9-year-old daughter.

All three suspects have pleaded not guilty.

if they are found guilty, i have no problem with the death penalty because frankly they deserve it

I don't have any pity for them or anyone involved in that mess.
