Don’t look now but black unemployment is nearing an all time low

Here’s a story you were very unlikely to see on CNN, MSNBC, in the New York Times or the Washington Post. As much as low unemployment numbers are a non-story for much of the MSM as long as there’s a Republican in the White House, one specific segment of the employment forces is making inroads rarely, if ever, seen before. Unemployment among black Americans has been hovering at or just above seven percent for past couple of months. That’s still shamefully worse than the overall unemployment figure, but to put it in context, it’s also very close to the best it’s been since Nixon was in office. (CNS News)

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics( BLS), the unemployment rate for black Americans is the lowest it has been since the year 2000, 17 years ago.

In November, the national unemployment rate for black Americans, ages 16 and over, was 7.3%.

The last time it was 7.3% was in the year 2000, during the months September, October and November.

During the Bush and Obama years (2001 -2016), the black unemployment rate fluctuated between 7.7% and a high of 16.8%.

In September, the unemployment rate for black workers briefly hit seven percent. It’s not been below seven since 1972. Just chew that number over for a minute.

Good!! Rates still too high, labor participation rates for all groups, still too low. But this is good progress. Much more to do but progress notable and visible.

MESSAGE TO AMERICAN WORKERS. Hope is here. Jobs are coming. Wages will rise. PLEASE PLEASE stop being discouraged, please, please go get signed up, go on-line, go to the library if you don't have a computer and use theirs, go to your local Unemployment Security Office, get registered with firms that search for employees for employers and/or or provide temporary workers.

MESSAGE TO STATES. You work hard to register voters. You need to work twice as hard to register legal American Workers. Start an E-verified workers registry for your state. Runs ads, publicize, encourage workers to start looking for work again.

US GOVERNMENT. You must correct the way we count unemployment. It does not reflect the true picture of available qualified workers in the US. This must be fixed. Our industries are coming home, they MUST KNOW where the workers are and your stupid way of counting unemployment doesn't provide them with that crucial information. You have to start COUNTING unemployed workers, not doing a stupid survey through the US Census. How can you expect major industries to return to the US, industries that need hundreds often thousands of workers, if they don't know where the workers are because no one counts them?

CORRUPT MEDIA. Stop obsessing with our President's tweets to his followers, start investigating and reporting on where the American Workers are. Go there, interview them, publicize them. Help them find jobs. Your advertisers, all of them, are businesses, these are our employers who need American Workers. Help your advertisers, our employers, match up with your viewers, our citizens, millions and millions of them who need jobs themselves or have family and friends who need jobs to find those jobs. The jobs are coming so help investigate and report where the workers are. We're in a spot now with jobs coming back but no one knowing where the workers are because for almost 30 years NO ONE HAS BEEN COUNTING THEM.

GET BUSY FOLKS!! LOTS TO DO.

We need to stop calling people minorities!

We are all American's and we ALL need to be against DACA, refugees, asylum, TPS, illegal aliens, visa overstays and birthright citizenship!

We all need to drastically reduce legal immigration, end chain migration and all these Visa programs!

This affects us ALL...all American's...across the board.

It affects our jobs, safety, social programs, neighborhoods, overcrowded schools-jails-prisons-courts.

They add to our crime, poverty and destruction of property.

We need to preserve our land, water, resources!
