These College Students Can’t Name A Single U.S. Senator (Or How Many Senators Serve Each State)

March 25, 2014 by Personal Liberty News Desk

Everyone interviewed on the campus of American University for this video nailed a pop culture question identifying a popular movie’s theme song. But only one was able to identify a single U.S. Senator. On the bright side, perhaps, that Senator turned out to be Rand Paul.
All the students seemed bashful about their ignorance. “This is sad…I’m in a Politics course; I should know this,” confessed one young woman.
Nobody knew how many U.S. Senators serve each State in Congress, either. Even the student who knew there are 100 Senators in all couldn’t take the logical step of dividing that number by the number of U.S. States to arrive at the answer.

One caution: watching this video may make you dumber.

    Enjoy!
