Thousands of felons, dead people still registered to vote in Fla.

Less than two months before the general election, Florida’s voter registration rolls still include thousands of dead people and felons who by law should have been removed.

The felons include some of South Florida’s highest-profile convicts — Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein and nine former elected officials caught up in recent corruption scandals.

At least 14,000 registered voters are dead, some for as long as two decades.

“It really concerns me,’’ said Palm Beach County Elections Supervisor Susan Bucher. “It was my understanding that we were caught up.â€
