The only person I have ever met who is a member of the CFR is Robert Seiple, Jr. His son, chris Seiple, also belongs to it. They are also a died in the wool US Marine Corp family. Robert was a pilot in VietNam, later became President of a large evangelical Christian charity, World Vision, and later was appointed US Ambassador for Religious Freedom by Pres. Clinton. Both Seiples operate a group called Institute for Global Engagement which seeks to reduce religious persecution; much of their work has gone on in communist countries like Vietnam, Laos or in the Urals.
What do you make of it all? I did write to them about their membership in the CFR, but received no response. My bottom line is that the world owes us gratitude for the benefits of the Industrial Revolution, democracy and Christianity---instead of demanding that we surrender our rights and do more for them.
Obama's speech may be largely rhetoric, at this point--but he would definitely be prodded by foreign interests if elected. So far what I have seen of the UN Agenda 21 is it mostly superfluous BS---doing little to change poverty, but costing westerners much. A UN official once told me that he was "tired of the bureaucracy.""Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David
