A man was arrested in a Disneyland Paris theme park hotel after police discovered something very frightening — and telling — in his luggage.

French police arrested a 28-year-old man after they discovered the man had two semiautomatic 7.65 mm pistols, two magazines, 20 bullets and a guide to the Quran inside his suitcase during a routine screening.

After an X-ray machine detected the items, police were immediately notified and the man was arrested, François Banon, the park’s Vice President of Communication and Public Affairs, told Fox News.

Police descended upon the four-star Hotel New York at the theme park where the man showed no resistance as he was arrested. It was presumed he had booked a room for himself and his girlfriend or spouse.

Police surrounded the couple’s car and the hotel car park was shut down.

Initially authorities believed the man’s companion was arrested in the general vicinity, but she is still on the run, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.

“A woman was arrested soon after the incident, but she was released after it became clear she was not the suspect involved. We are still looking for the man’s companion,” a source close to the police said.

The French interior ministry confirmed authorities were looking for a woman who might have been with the man.

Police had previously caught the man driving without a license, but he was said never to have been of interest to anti-terrorism officials.

“We continue to work closely with the authorities, and the safety and security of our guests and cast members is our utmost priority,” Banon added.

The incident followed warnings from the Islamic State and Al-Qaeda terror groups that Disneyland Paris was one of their targets.

It is truly frightening that these barbarians continue to carry out their terror plans and we can only hope that they are stopped before another tragedy occurs.
