EL PASO — Three Border Patrol agents pulled a man from a burning car in the Lower Valley early Saturday, Border Patrol officials said. The man was taken to Thomason Hospital, and the agents were not injured.

Ramiro Cordero, a spokes man for the Border Patrol, said the agents saw the crashed Dodge Intrepid at Yarbrough and Loop 375 at 2:45 a.m.

"It was engulfed in flames, and there was one individual trapped inside, conscious and panicked," Cordero said. "Agents broke the windows and extricated the victim."

Three more agents arrived to help, and firefighters put out the fire, officials said.
