The Obama administration is preparing to receive Ebola patients at VA hospitals around the nation. Yes, those would be the same hospitals where administrators have been keeping off the books records of appointments for veterans so it will appear they are being treated in a timely fashion so administrators can collect their bonuses. Nobody gives a damn if the vets die waiting for care. Case in point, the director of the VA hospital in Phoenix where this scheme was first uncovered is still on the payroll and essentially on paid leave. Sharon Hellman – an appropriate name – should be charged with murder for her actions, but like Lois Lerner at the IRS, she’s going to be protected by the government.
Here’s your government “public service announcement” on what they’re doing to “protect” you.
We’re going to ask a couple of questions and take their temperature.
Showing the meticulous nature of the process would, I think, would, ahh, maybe, add a degree of confidence on the part of the American people.
Ummm, no. It’s not the protective suits that people are worried about, you fool. It’s the competence of the people who are running the government that is the problem.
These idiots are giving people a little “kit” to monitor their progress through the 21 day incubation period. They should be either refused entry into the US or quarantined for 21 days. The Obama administration has demonstrated their lack of concern for the American public over and over, but this is likely the most obvious example.
African countries kept Ebola out of their country by refusing entry/quarantining people. Canada and Mexico – MEXICO – have done the same. We welcome people here with open arms and let them run free.
Personally, we view using veterans hospitals for Ebola wards is the ultimate slap in the face, not just to US citizens in general, but specifically to vets.
Several VA hospitals in the mainland United States have touted their preparedness for a potential Ebola outbreak in recent news stories.
“The resources we have available to us, the personnel we have available to us, are second to none,” Dr. Gary Badzinski, the Fayetteville, North Carolina VA’s chief of medicine told the Fayetteville Observer. “We are out in front of this.”
Officials at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida told the Tampa Tribune they were preparing for possible Ebola cases.
“We are fine-tuning operational plans to adjust for the special requirements of this specific virus,” Mary Kay Hollingsworth, spokeswoman for the VA Sunshine Healthcare Network, told the Tribune.
These are the same people who’ve put US military veterans on waiting lists knowing than some, many, would die for lack of timely care and now they’re touting their readiness.
President Obama, Dr. Badzinski, Ms. Hollingsworth, you can collectively go f**k yourselves. We have no evidence that you’re caring for our vets, and that’s your prime responsibility.

  • How many vets are going on waiting lists so you can get ready to treat Ebola patients?
  • How many of those “personnel we have available to us, are second to none” are being diverted from treating vets, and where the hell were they when veterans were being put on waiting lists.
  • Who are the Ebola patients expected to be?
  • Are they US soldiers who are currently being quarantined in Spain, probably not since they’ll be quarantined, unlike civilian travelers.
  • Are they US citizens coming back from West Africa? Probably not since those numbers are few and we seem to be gearing up the VA system.
  • Are they West Africans? Why are we bringing one of the most deadly diseases on earth here to the US?

Mr. President, your primary responsibility is to protect the American people. You’ve put that on the back burner for the last six years, it’s past time get off your ass do your job.
