30 September US loan deadline for the Bank of International Settlements

has anyone else heard this is a critical date for loans due from the Bush Administration...

this is completely different from the credit crisis. I have talked to several people recently and I am told this is why Paulson wants discretion on how the money (700 Billion +) is to be spent

This is another reason why Bush is laying low. Just curious how Taxpayer money is to be divvied up

OMG. I THOUGHT IT WAS SOME SATIRE FROM ONION. THIS DOES NOT SOUND GOOD. THIS DOES NOT SOUND GOOD AT ALL. I HAD NOT HEARD ABOUT THIS. THERE ARE PROBABLY MANY FACETS TO THIS "MELTDOWN" THAT WE DONT KNOW ABOUT.

from what I have heard this is a fixed date for the US to pay back dept ... I dont know what the amount is but it is huge from what I understand

it has been 3 months since I heard about this and this bailout made me do a memory recall .... just putting 2 and 2 together

I WENT AND DID A SMALL AMOUNT OF READING ON THIS BANK. INTERESTING READING, BUT I HAVE NOT READ ENOUGH TO REALLY GET A HANDLE ON HOW THEY COULD BE CONNECTED INTO THIS. BUT OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS I WILL TRY TO DO SOME MORE READING.

SO IF THERE IS A FIXED DATE THAT THE USA HAS TO PAY SOME HUGE DEBT TO THIS BANK....WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DONT PAY IT? ARE USA BANKS UNABLE TO BORROW MONEY FROM FOREIGN BANKS? IS THAT IT? AND THIS FREEZES OUR FINANCIAL FLOW? OR DOES THIS BANK HAVE INVESTMENTS IN OUR FINANCIAL MARKETS THAT THEY THREATEN TO PULL OUT?

BECAUSE THESE BANKERS ARE FREAKING OUT SO BAD...AND SO IS BUSH. IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE SOMETHING VERY EVIL IS GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES. I MEAN MORE EVIL THEN JUST THE BANKERS WANTING MONEY FROM US. LIKE THAT THEY HAVE TO GET THE MONEY. ARENT THEY ACTING LIKE THE MAFIA IS AFTER THEM AND THREATENING TO BREAK THEIR KNEECAPS OR SOMETHING? THEY ARE REALLY FREAKING OUT.

THERE SEEMS TO BE PLENTY WRITTEN ABOUT THIS BANK ON THE NET. BUT I WAS UNABLE TO GET A FEEL FOR THE INTEGRITY OF THE BANK FOR INTERNATIONAL SETTLEMENT. BECAUSE OF THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO CATEGORIZE THEM AS HONEST OR EVIL. ALL SOURCES I COULD FIND WERE MOSTLY INFORMATIONAL OR HISTORICAL.

DO YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE ANY LINKS TO INFORMATION ON WHAT TYPE OF ORGANIZATION THIS ACTUALLY IS, OR WHAT THEIR AGENDA MIGHT BE?
