Vegas shooter bought weapons in these 5 states
Authorities found 47 guns at the shooter's hotel suite in the Mandalay Bay Resort and his homes in Mesquite and Reno. Here's where the shooter Stephen Paddock bought weapons:
Arizona:
- He purchased weapons from a dealer in Arizona, Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said at a news conference Monday.
California:
- The location and the number of weapons purchased is unknown. But Jill Snyder, special agent in charge of ATF field division in San Francisco, said some of the guns seized were bought in this state.
Nevada:
- Cabela's in Verdi: A law enforcement official told CNN that Paddock bought several guns there.
- New Frontier Armory in North Las Vegas: Paddock purchased several firearms and passed all state and federal background requirements, the store's president David Famiglietti said.
- Guns & Guitars in Mesquite: The shooter bought a handgun and two rifles there last year, according to the shop's general manager Christopher Sullivan.
- Discount Firearms and Ammo in Las Vegas: Paddock bought two rifles and a handgun during two separate visits in 2016, said the shop's managing partner, Dennis Keck.
Texas:
- The location and the number of weapons purchased is unknown. ATF special agent Snyder said guns were also purchased in this state.
Utah:
- Dixie GunWorx in St. George: Paddock bought a shotgun there.
