Congressional Candidate Carl Paladino Files Lawsuit Against New York Gov. Kathy Hochul to Stop Illegal Gun Control

New York Congressional candidate Carl Paladino has filed a lawsuit against New York Governor Kathy Hochul over her illegal and unconstitutional gun control overreach.
Paladino is suing to block Chapter 371, which is a desperate attempt to undo the Supreme Court and their recent decision to invalidate restrictions against concealed firearms. Paladino’s lawsuit is aimed around blocking the most onerous provision of the law: Chapter 5.

“Apparently, New York Democrats didn’t read the part of Justice Thomas’s opinion where he said: ‘The constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not a second-class right, subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees.’ This new law attempts to treat Second Amendment rights in a way that would be unthinkable in the context of First Amendment rights of speech or worship,” Paladino said in a press release about his lawsuit.
“New York State cannot force law-abiding citizens to get permission to carry their concealed handgun each time they enter a different property any more than it could force citizens to ask property owners for permission before they express a political opinion or pray in public. I am confident that I will win my lawsuit, and I am prepared to take this all the way to the Supreme Court to do so. Just as I defeated Albany Democrats in 2010 with the tolls, I plan on winning here as well,” he added.

Section 5 of Chapter 371 precludes individuals from carrying concealed weapons on private property unless a private property owner explicitly gives them permission to do so. This is akin to banning an individual’s First Amendment rights to speak on private properly unless they are told they can open their months. It is obscenely and grotesquely anti-American, and Paladino plans to make a motion to block Section 5 pending his lawsuit.
Big League Politics has reported on Hochul’s continued assault on the Bill of Rights and Constitution since being installed as governor:

“New York Governor Kathy Hochul is going to war with the 1st Amendment, exploiting a recent mass shooting in Buffalo in order to attack the Bill of Rights and Constitution.
“The CEOs of [social media] companies need to be held accountable and ensure all of us that they’re taking every step humanly possible to monitor this [racist] information,” Hochul said while appearing on ABC News.
“How these depraved ideas are fermenting on social media… it’s spreading like a virus now. [There are racist conspiracies] spreading through social media platforms that need to be monitored and shut down the second these words are espoused… it has to stop,” she added.
This is when Hochul claimed falsely that so-called “hate speech” is not protected under the law.

“We will protect the right to free speech, but there is a limit,” Hochul stated. “There is a limit to what you can do, and hate crimes—hate speech—is not protected.”
