SEATTLE -- The Seattle FBI has arrested a Stanwood man with possible links to domestic terrorism.

Schuyler Barbeau is charged with possession of an unregistered firearm, but the agent in charge of Seattle’s FBI office mentioned the arrest in a press briefing on terrorism Friday morning.

Charging documents say Barbeau offered a confidential informant a short barreled AR-15 “assault rifle” for $5,000. The documents say the weapon must be federally licensed because of its short barrel.

The Southern Poverty Law Center says a photo from Barbeau’s Facebook page shows him standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy. Bundy, and armed militia groups, faced off against federal agents in 2014.

The SPLC says there’s evidence Barbeau is linked to militia and anti-government groups.
