Federal Gun Control At A Standstill While States
Push New Unconstitutional Gun Laws

Congress recently voted against adding new federal gun control laws but that has not stopped states from trying to pass anti-gun laws all over the country. Obama, Biden, and Bloomberg are campaigning for states to follow in the footsteps of states like Connecticut and Colorado who have already signed anti-gun proposals into law.

We must demand our State Governors do not sign anymore anti-gun proposals into laws. They must protect our Second Amendment rights along with the interest of their state's citizens.

Here are some of the states that are introducing radical anti-gun proposals:

California- Considering the 'Life Act' which would stiffen their already toughest gun laws in the nation. Would ban ANY semi-auto gun with a detachable magazine, ban on buying bulk ammunition, would require a permit to purchase ammo, and ban magazines that hold over 10 rounds.

Delaware- Proposed an assault weapons ban that requires residents to register their newly 'banned' weapons within 48 hours of the law. If your gun is lost or stolen you must report it within 48 hours. If you fail to do either of these you would be arrested and charged with a felony.

Maryland- Proposal approved by state lawmakers requires the fingerprinting of gun buyers and bans assault weapons and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.
New York - Updated state's Assault Weapons Ban, limited magazine rounds to max 7, and created a state gun registry.

Utah - Vetoed a Bill that would have allowed residents to carry a handgun without a concealed carry permit.

Connecticut - Ban on new magazines over 10 rounds, registration for existing magazines over 10 rounds, expansion of their Assault Weapons Ban, and CT will issue eligibility certificate for residents to buy ANY shotgun, rifle, OR ammo.

Colorado - Has limited magazine capacity to max of 15 rounds.

Actions are contagious, good or bad. The more individual states that pass radical gun control or anti-gun measures like fees and taxes on gun owners, the more our Second Amendment rights are violated and the rest of the states will be willing to make bold anti-gun restrictions.

The best way to stop the outrageous legislation in any state is to contact the State's Governors. No law will be passed unless it is signed into law by the State Governor. We must tell every State Governor to stand up for our Second Amendment rights rather than join the trending anti-gun crowd.

All of the CT lawmakers understand the impact their new anti-gun laws could have on all 50 state legislatures. They are craving to become the anti-gun blueprint that could sweep the nation.

CT Senate President Donald E. Williams JR - "In Connecticut, we've broken the mold...That is a message that should resound in 49 other states and in Washington, D.C. And the message is: We can get it done here and they should get it done in their respective states and nationally in Congress."

Do not let these lawmakers make the decision for our states. The people of our states must let our state governors know that we will not stand for Second Amendment attacking legislation such as the proposals in CT.

We need to remember that when our Government was formed and our Constitution was written it was designed to give the states, not the Government, the power to decide for themselves. In a time where Government is growing exponentially it is important to remember that our state can control its own destiny and does not have to follow in the footsteps of big brother.

Since the re-election of Obama there has been constant pressure and threats toward our Second Amendment. The only way to counteract these threats is for Law Abiding gun owners to stand up against them. We must let our State Governors know we do not support any of these proposed anti-gun laws. We voted them in office, they work for us, and they need to protect the rights of our United States' law abiding citizens.

WE HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO AND WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Sincerely Yours,

Alan M. Gottlieb
