Here is a photo from yesterday's Rally at Dysart's Truck Stop. Trucks from the Escort to Arlington are lined up with wreaths displayed on their front grilles. Remember, it's not too late to donate wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery. We will be taking donations until this Thursday, December 13, 2012. To donate, click on the Donate button on our Facebook page or click on this link. — Store | Wreaths Across America

The Escort to Arlington leaves Harrington, Maine with over 25 tractor trailers loaded with wreaths to place on the graves of our veterans. They will travel, not just to Arlington National Cemetery but to over 800 locations around the country. It's not too late to donate wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery. We will be accepting orders until Thursday night, Dec. 13th. Just click on this link http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/store/ or click on the Donate button on our Facebook page.

Here's another memory from the Escort to Arlington from 2011. The Portland, Maine Fire Department built an archway with their ladder trucks to welcome the Escort to a ceremony at Cheverus High School.

Here's a little peek at our early days. What began in 1992 with a trailer load of wreaths to be laid at the graves of fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery and known as the Arlington Wreath Project, became Wreaths Across America, a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization in 2007. Now with over 700 participating locations - all focused on the mission to Remember - Honor - and Teach. (photo from about 1994)
