District Information

Please give a brief description of your district: District 23 is in 5 counties in South Florida: Broward- Palm Beach- St. Lucie- Martin & Hendry County. The 23rd District is the poorest district in South Florida, the incumbent: Alcee Hastings, who has been in Congress for 18 years, has never worked for the District but for himself. He does not represent the 23rd District but the Lobbyists, the Unions and Big businesses that are supporting his campaign and made him a millionaire while the District remains very poor. An Impeached Federal Judge, a disbarred lawyer, the man is a disgrace to our Great country and must be voted out of office in November.

Percentage of Democrat, Republican, and Unaffiliated Voters: The 23rd District is a predominant Democratic District with 354,000 registered voters. In Broward County, Democrats outnumber Republicans 2 to 1. Palm Beach has 235,000 registered Republicans and more Democrats also are registered there. As you start going northward, the Republican Party gets stronger in St. Lucie County, Martin County is a heavily Republican County.

But in mid-term elections, generally only 50% of the voters would go to the polls. Therefore this year if we can motivate all the Republicans to vote, win the NPA votes and have some cross-over votes from the Democrats, the 23rd District will become for the first time a Republican District. I can also win all the Caribbean/American votes in the District in November 2010.

PLEDGE

If elected or re-elected to the US Congress, I will oppose any form of Amnesty or path to citizenship for illegal aliens, including Comprehensive Immigration Reform which would turn millions of illegal immigrants into voters thus destroying future borders of America. I will use the full power of my office, including impeachment if necessary, to insure the Executive Branch secures America's border immediately and begins to adequately enforce the existing immigration and border laws of the United States, which were enacted by Congress at the behest of America's citizenry. I understand that the failure of the Executive Branch to secure our borders and enforce existing immigration laws is depriving all Americans of a Republican form of government and depriving our states of protection from invasion as mandated by the US Constitution. I intend to use the power of Congress to immediately remedy this problem that is costing many Americans their jobs, wages, taxpayer resources, property, security, and sometimes their very lives.

So help me God,
