Candidate Background Information

Lee was born in Chicago, IL, and was raised in Brazil, Paraguay and Norway. Lee moved to Minnesota in 1982 after graduating from high school and attended the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Master of Business Administration.

After a successful career with Phillips Petroleum as an economist Lee joined Willmar Poultry Company, and Lee became the general manager in 2003. After thirteen-year tenure with Willmar Poultry Company, Lee was named Vice President of Operations for Life-Science Innovations, the parent company of Willmar Poultry.

Minnesota’s 7th Congressional district is primarily an agriculture district. We are ranked as the number one producer of soybeans and sugarbeets in the nation. It includes 35 counties and stretches from the Canadian border all the way just north of the Iowa border. Percentage of Democrat, Republican, and Unaffiliated Voters: +5 Republican District

I oppose any non-emergency taxpayer benefits for illegal aliens, including welfare, food stamps, licenses, and in-state tuition subsidies? (10) I believe that employers who intentionally hire illegal aliens should be heavily fined. (10) – Provided the government provide a system to check proper documentation.


PLEDGE

If elected or re-elected to the US Congress, I will oppose any form of Amnesty or path to citizenship for illegal aliens, including Comprehensive Immigration Reform which would turn millions of illegal immigrants into voters thus destroying future borders of America. I will use the full power of my office, including impeachment if necessary, to insure the Executive Branch secures America's border immediately and begins to adequately enforce the existing immigration and border laws of the United States, which were enacted by Congress at the behest of America's citizenry. I understand that the failure of the Executive Branch to secure our borders and enforce existing immigration laws is depriving all Americans of a Republican form of government and depriving our states of protection from invasion as mandated by the US Constitution. I intend to use the power of Congress to immediately remedy this problem that is costing many Americans their jobs, wages, taxpayer resources, property, security, and sometimes their very lives.

Immigration

First, we must secure the borders, so that the current problem does not grow worse. America has never committed itself to protecting our borders. We can do it.

I will also propose and support legislation that will rid us of illegal aliens through attrition. Through a combination of limited work visas and penalties assessed against employers that knowingly hire illegals, we can naturally eliminate the number of illegal aliens in this country. The bottom line is we must remove the economic incentive to remain in the United States illegally.
