The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.-Sir Winston Churchill

I pray that they uphold their oaths and fulfill their duties to us, their American citizens, Amen. God Bless American !!!!!!!
We all need to continue to pray. We need to make sure we are following the right leaders so many have gone astray and sold us out because of EGO and GREED. It is sad. :-( God save us from those who seek to lead us astray.
This is so true.... we can stay in denial but the consequences of poor choices always come to bite people in the butt.Quote:

Please forgive me for losing faith or sounding negative, but after half-a-lifetime of praying for this, my native land, I believe that the LORD our God is not going to send revival, restore America to right standing with Him and to righteous living through faith in Christ, or rescue her from ruin, subjugation, and destruction.
Though He were to find 50 righteous there, 50 million more would be found wanting. The two angels could only save Lot and his two daughters, but not even his wife, out of Sodom before they destroyed it. Likewise, the LORD will probably find it preferable to just pull out the 50 and leave the 50 million behind as fuel for the fire.
The U.S. is neither the focus of His attention nor the pupil of His eye. Assuming that the U.S. as a nation chooses not to follow the LORD, He has bigger prophetic plans for Israel and for the world as a whole which do not require U.S. aid or participation. No matter how much America needs the Lord Jesus Christ to survive and thrive, the Lord of hosts can accomplish His end-times purposes just fine without America.
Sorry that I just don't see the Son behind the dark clouds rolling in. I wish that I had good news of the future to report. If anyone else can prophesy shalom, peace, well-being, and prosperity, I'd love to hear it. But I can't call it, except by being a false prophet. Jesus is coming, and everything will be made right then, but not now, not yet.
I happened to be reading this thread and saw the above post by MinutemanCDC-SC. I pray that you have regained some hope since you wrote this some time ago. Many of us have experienced some level of disappointment in what we have seen happening in our nation, what we have seen and heard from our leaders and what we have seen in our culture, etc. We also know that evil exists.
For those of us who believe in God, we know that we must pray and seek His face, we need to stay close to Him in our our hearts and minds, we need to stay grounded in the Word, we need to be involved where we are able.
I hope that you have found your strength in the Lord.
On a personal note, my family has some prayer needs and I would like to ask for those who would, please pray for us. Thank you.
Isaiah 41:10 is a special verse to us. For any of you who are facing some trial, this may be a verse for you, too. Philippians 4:6,7 is another one.

Today we make our final preparations to vote, or to give rides to those who need to vote. Perhaps we can win over a few more people with good information and background issues, educate and convince a few more voters. Encourage those who are on the fence, or not inclined to vote. This may be the most important election of our lives, and perhaps it may be the one election that turns our country back to the right path, away from the brink it teeters on.
Remember there are many fields of battle, and many weapons with which to fight.
Prayer is as important as your vote. Pray for President Trump, for all our elected officials and candidates. Pray for our citizens. Pray for our country. Pray for the policemen and women, fire departments, and first responders who may face violence in the aftermath. Pray for all of us to prepare ourselves to contribute our best and remember daily the duties of citizenship, that we may zealously and courageously guard against such excesses and evils as we face now, not only during a great election.
Pray for us once again to be One Nation Under God. Pray for our great American people to find what Bishop Robert Barron calls the right ordering of ourselves, that in giving our selves in just service to God we may again find ourselves right in the world, aligning ourselves in just order with our Creator and our existence in his creation.
If you are able, consider fasting tomorrow. Perhaps a sacrifice such as giving up dessert, rising a few minutes for extra prayer. Exhort family and friends to pray as well.
Let us all help as much as we can, with firm trust and faith, crying out to God for his mercy and generosity.
From St. Paul, Romans Chapter 12
Do not grow slack in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.
Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer.

May we join in prayer, asking for God’s protection over each of us, over our families, over our nation, and over our President, Donald J. Trump. May evil plans be thwarted, may they be exposed.
Psalm 91
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refugeand my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shieldand rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angelsconcerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

Isaiah 41:10
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
